Do Araine still trade and do business?

I'm with Zach; like many I never dealt with Ariane because of the very bad reputation for service and support mentioned over and over in the forums.I'm with PMDG NGX for its ground-breaking quality, but I have only just reluctantly returned to these forums because I had been put off by the fanatical ###### approach, people who attack those with slightly different opinions without thought or concern. I have been a long time J41 customer, but never bothered to go into the mire of some of the slushy attacks made on genuine posters. The OP seemed to be asking a reasonable question and he came into these columns to ask it so his concern is either genuine, stupid to expose himself to the torrent of comment, or advertising for Ariane. I believe him to be the first.Yes to providing the genuine demonstration of difference, no, to sarcasm and bullying in these pages.

Ariane = HitlerPMDG = God
lol. I was literally thinking of saying that but then i thought the better of it.

Thanks Howard - and although I am not very religious PMDG is not God, even they are prepared to admit problems and put out patches. And in the world of commerce no-one is God (not unless you are Bill Gates or Rupert Murdoch) but your market is only as good as your next prodcut - and with competition comes advance. Who will be the new king we don't know ... but we will get a kick out of their next high tech advances in a Triple 7, Dash 8, and inevitably a 787 once more technical detail is released.If Flight comes along and sweeps the field, or changes add-ons to apps, Cloud computing comes alive then there will be lot's of lovely alternatives and opportunities for us simmers (to mis-use the general confession).

KInd regards,

I was wondering something. With the release of the PMDG 737NGX, this question struck me: Which one is better PMDG or Ariane Design? Both are highly realistic, have great VCs and exterior models, but I think that Ariane Design 737NGs may be a little bit more realistic where there different options for what type of MCP, either Sperry or Honeywell, aircraft with eyebrows or no eyebrows, and other features for Ariane Design 737NGs. So which product is better? Just trying to get a feel of what other people think. :(
I have "flown" Ariane, iFly and the PMDG NGX and I can tell you from my perspective that the NGX clearly comes out on top.Nothing currently in the market beats PMDG's system simulation depth, configuration variety and the graphics quality/smoothness of the gauges.I've found the Ariane and iFly gauge graphics to be quite coarse and hard to read in the VC.My only gripe with the NGX: why did PMDG pick such a run-down, worn-out and dirty NG cockpit to model their NGX VC?I had to dig out my Photoshop and clean up a bit in that NGX cockpit :(
