Before we move on to Alaska

Featured Replies

How about fixing the clouds. First rule of model railroading used to be man made objects go in a straight line, items in nature do not. From the "wrong" angle the clouds are in a straight line and evenly spaced.

As Don says, we are encouraged to communicate with the developers, and civil and courteous requests always get their attention. But, we should understand that they already know all this and the list in this thread is certainly part of their future plans. But, they have priorities and growth is probably the principal one. Still, they can do various things at the same time, and I would not be surprised if a future update contains Track-IR support. So, bring on Alaska and bring on other elements as well!Best regards.Luis

Don't be surprised if you never see TrackIR intergrated.. MS have their own product to do that.. Not trying to be smart but why would MS integrate code to take advantage of someone elses hardware when they have their own that does it? I bet you see the feature to use Kintect for PC before you ever see TrackIR integrated.Skip to 40 seconds.

Ill buy kinect right now if the two birds at the end of the video are included in the package !

As styck says, MS is going promote their own product before someone else's and if they can make a few more sales on a kinect bundle pack for people to use in Flight, do you really think they are going to implement someone elses product support over their own.Air AI would be great with a small ATC implemented this why people know who has the right to land and who is directed to the holding pattern.AI Traffic I don't see important to this sim, I think this is best left to trainz and railroad simulator where they can use the traffic at crossings and simulating the horn sound to be more realistic. Unless you plan on drving your car with the icon in tow then why put something in that will slow some peoples machines down and won't really get looked at much. I am usually looking foward, not opening the bomb doors for targets to hit under me.The clouds I have noticed a few things with them and a little tweaking would make them act more realistic. Not every cloud looks the same or travels the same way when I look up to the sky but in Flight they do.

HelloSo you do not mind there being no other aircraft at the airports, makes for a very strange atmosphere to be alone in the world.

I agree. I posted about the lack of interest MS has had in Trackir (above) which fits what you are saying. Plus the Trackir devs have said that the SDK is super simple and that it could have been added very quickly.

Do you really think Microsoft will drop everything to make ONE 3PD's product work in flight before they open up the marketplace to all 3PDs?When you see an announcement from Microsoft that devs who are willing to play by their rules will be allowed to sell products that pass Microsoft's Flight Standards test through the marketplace, then you can look for Track IR to support Flight. Not a minute before.

Perhaps it's because Track-IR is considered a 3rd party developer and there is to be no 3PD for two years?

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

HelloMS Flight! will not be on my hard drive by then if they do not have TrackIR support soon, and I suspect many gamers feel the same way, this is a massively popular piece of hardware that all modern simulations support. Not having support is hurting DLC sales, so backward looking for the team not to include it after having the SDK for so long.

Bah, TIR is no different than Saitek, CH Products etc who produce hardware, not software for FSX.

Agreed TIR is like a joystick controller driver support item (view control), not 3rd Party addon or enhancement feature.I sent MS a nice email asking for TIR support and telling them I'm interested in the DLC but not buying any yet since can't enjoy flying without TIR.For now I just fly around with my awkward views in multiplayer using the free content.

Chances are we won't see much (if any) AI because of Flight's multiplayer capabilities. Any time you are using Flight while connected to the Internet, you are flying multiplayer. Your settings determine whether you will see others or not. The problem is that sessions are limited to a small number of aircraft at a time.

See my sig :-) Feel free to copy...

That's actually be pretty sweet - I'd love to have head movement integrated without wearing a hat ;)
