March 16, 201214 yr I can't tell how excited I am to hear that RealAir is considering the C172 full package!I am currently in flight training with C172. Albeit a diesel version, but still the aircraft is otherwise pretty much the same. I have waited for someone to do a really high quality C172 (non-Glass) for FSX. Hopefully this time it will happen :).cheers,Tero PPL(A)
March 16, 201214 yr It is exceptionally good news to hear that Real Air are working on a new project. A bit of competition on the market never hurts, and as I have been a customer of Real Air's for a time, I don't see why I should stop now... A Lancair Legacy... nice looking, sleek aircraft...Now, a Real Air, all singing and all dancing Cessna 172... as mentioned by some here already, I would personally welcome the type that many will have trained on, ie non-glass... an option to use the RXP GNS430/530 as is the case on the Duke would also be welcome I guess... bring them on!Thanks for the update Rob!Andrew Andrew Entwistle
March 31, 201214 yr Glad to see you guys are still working. Realair products are right up there with the best. Flight models are as good as I've ever seen. I even used the (piston) Duke last year to prepare for my real world ATP. Mostly for the integrated 430 which I would be using on my checkride, but I found the engine out handling characteristics to be the best I've ever seen in a simulator. Excited about the Lanceair and the cessna, but hoping the team eventually gets aroud to another twin. Kingair or otherwise, it would be among the best available. It would be nice to see an expansion of the failures module seen on the turbine Duke to include other systems (electrics, pressurization, etc) and a persistent wear model added a-la A2A or PMDG.
March 31, 201214 yr I am so excited to hear RealAir is making a Cessna product. I've always thought it strange that nobody ever produced a high end 172 (or similar Cessna) with the standards of A2A or RealAir. That will be a day one purchase for me without a doubt. I hope we don't have to wait too long :)
May 8, 201214 yr So it is true! I read something about a new Cessna 172 from RA in a thread here on AVSIM but couldn't find any further information on the web... One word: awesome!!!
