My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet

Working on MSFS 2024 versions.

Don't have my rudder pedals/yoke in the picture... They are on a "floating" table which I can move around and sit on my futon and operate. 40inch is used for gameplay,

I've just finished a massive upgrade for my pc... All I can say is WOW... FSX with a couple of GTX 780 Ti is awesome... :)

First the mess...

I was scared using the vise method to delid my cpu... but I can tell that is the safest method...

A little light show...

The story behind this picture is kind of sad... I was trying to connect a bitspower fitting and guess what... I bent a G1/4 thread of a new Alphacool UT60 360... :( ... So I was forced to put my previous radiator... a Koolance (can't remember the part number) 360 rad...

DSC_1089.jpg

But every story for me should have a happy ending... Weeks later I ordered another UT60 360... and now my upgrade is complete as I wanted...

Now... My gaming pc complete... A few months from now I'm gonna be switching my 5.1 Z5500 speaker for a home theater with a Pioneer SC-85 receiver and featuring a 5.1 Definitive Technology Mythos ST system and maybe a SuperCube 6000 too...

Well... Now I can say I've finish my entertainment center... :)

Instead of the Mythos ST and Supercube I went for KEF speakers... Q300 mains.. Q600 center... Q800ds surrounds... and the best thing... SVS PB-2000 subwoofer...

Sounds incredible... specially with the Cerasim B212 - B412, Milviz B407 and PMDG aircrafts... :)

Here is the before and after shot...  B)

Dexter, how do you use the regular AV sound  receiver with your PC? I thought there were some technical hurdles using regular AV receiver and then regular speakers from the Sound card (PC).

Hi... I'm using a hdmi cable from the video card to the receiver... The gtx 780ti and many other nvidia cards use the "nvidia high definition audio driver" that comes with the driver. The thing is you have to select in audio devices the video card as yor primary audio device. When you do that the receiver will detect the audio and will change its decoder depending on the source... Example... Using fsx the receiver switch to PCM... Other games like Borderlands, Battlefield 4, Rise of Flight, Cliffs of Dover or DCS the receiver also use PCM with 5.1 surround. When using Powerdvd for blu-ray movies the receiver switch to Dolby or DTS... So as you can see... Everything regarding sound comes from the video card making the sound card useless... Till today.. So far so good... No issues...

Wow, thunderstorms must be frightening with that sound system!

Hi... I'm using a hdmi cable from the video card to the receiver...

Thanks Dexter...So I have to give up a video for this then? I currently have 3+1 = 4 monitors...

Hmm...

Interesting though

I can't remember whether I posted a pic of my sim or not. Anyway, if I did, I did so before making a few additions. This is the latest incarnation of my beloved play pit! I have recently added the overhead keyboard which is connected to the second PC which feeds the left hand monitor and has just recently been networked with the help of my simming buddy Capt Ricardo (who said that was easy!) This displays Flightsim Commander and Navigraph charts. On the right you may see a rectangle affair, with a gray surround, this holds my Ipad and displays several apps, in particular the Virtual Avionics CDU for the NGX. The main hardware is of course VRinsight and Hotas Warthog with two 17" Dell displays and the main 30" Dell Supersharp display which runs at 2560x1600 res.

awesome set up really want to set up two computers with sim connect ..... did you build the cockpit yourself like the style looks like you have a dropped the joystick under the desk... why no yoke ???

I have done some work recently, built a new computer and decorated my 'cave' to my preferences.....please excuse the mess!
