November 12, 201213 yr Here is my setup as of 12/11/12. Nothing too special, or powerful, for that matter. I modified the stand which the laptop is on and put a fan on the bottom, which has increased the airflow and decreased temperatures on my system. I run FSX on the laptop screen and use the other screen for viewing charts/browsing Avsim. I have a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro joystick and Saitek throttles, which aren't in the picture. November 16, 201213 yr Did a little rearranging. Nice simpit you got there Vincent 1) What throttle quad you got there? 2) What FMC/CDU do you have in your setup 3) How does your Saitek Panel (Gear up/switches) work? Mine gives me grief... its very temperamental . My Gear up gauges doesn't work..but when I hit the G key, I see the green lights turn etc.. Its one of those gauges I can't control using FSUIPC.. Yes..I am using the SPAD driver. I need to build my own. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

November 24, 201213 yr Well, here are some pictures of my newly assembled sim pit. I just received an Obutto cockpit and spend about 16 hours assembling/adjusting. The Obutto cockpit is really well built and very flexible. http://i1258.photobu...it/IMAG0088.jpg http://i1258.photobu...it/IMAG0090.jpg Danny

December 6, 201213 yr The first image is of my current setup. I will take care of the wires by creating a few more grommets another time, as I still have not received my old speakers (seen in the other image), and am hoping that I will be able to upgrade my flight controllers in the next year or so. The second image is of my old setup with the Apple iMac. The wires were organized very neatly from the operator's perspective, but . . .
December 6, 201213 yr The wires were organized very neatly from the operator's perspective, but . . . I used to do the same thing with wires, but then I started changing hardware so often it became a burden and I just became lazy. My tie backs never looked as good as that however. Regards; Fritz
