Eventually, they will release a "deluxe" aircraft. Whatever it is, it's going to bring a lot more hours of gameplay, with new challenges, instruments etc. Alaska is also coming. If you're not in a hurry, I'm sure Flight will provide some good fun in the future.

You don´t even have to be critical to have your acces revoked. I was among the more enthusiastic posters on MS´s news and announcements page and still can´t post no more. Instead, it says "new comments to this post are disabled", even though I can see new comments coming in Rolling%20Eyes.gif

But, on the other hand, why should I even bother to leave comments when they don´t listen to us anyway.

i love the graphics in Flight but come on "no cockpits". I WANT COCKPITS! Even older casual games on xbox had cockpits like Ace Combat and some other WW2 casual combat sim from Ubisoft which i don't recall the name.

I'm a lucky guy, I must confess... Whenever I feel the need for ... cockpits, I start ELITE v8 Premium and fly a "professional" IFR / IMC route/weather scenario even using RW Weather :-) Honestly, being picky as I am with details... there isn't simply any competition even if you consider the top add-ons for either MSFS or XPlane (any version). I won ELITE v7 on an ELITE contest around 2002 and upgraded to v8 by 2004. It is still the most perfect (from an IFR trainning point-of-view) PC-based simulator I have found so far, particularly if you have the $$$ to invest on the excellent hardware (which I don't...). I also had On-Top, but it didn't compare.... ESP Protrainner was quite promissing, and had nice cockpits, but the project died, just as it's base - Propilot99 :-(

FLIGHT gives me the sensation of really being there, with or without a fancy cockpit... For IFR I use ELITE, for soaring - Condor... If I ever decide to play being an airline pilot again (a terrible and addictive game...), I'll wait and buy Aerowinx PSX...

P.S.: I tried Prepar3d, didn't find it worth the investment, I keep trying XplaneX's demo but altough gourgeous in many aspects, there is allways something missing there... and whenever a new version of Flight Gear becomes available, I test it as well

There used to be a blonde girl around here claiming for the same :-) We can start thinking about a women clan for FLIGHT's cause!!!!

Ehm, jcomm, you are really a likeable guy (we also exchanged nice posts in another forum), but in this case I think you have been indelicate.

Also if some prefer to ignore the case, you should remember that Arwen, the blonde girl you refer to, has recently resigned from the moderator role here, following repeated and heavy attacks from some "fans", simply because she expressed the willing to maintain an impartial attitude.

That has not been a nice episode for the Avsim community in my opinion.

You're right :-( ... Post edited.... Although that wasn't really my intention. Thx for your observation ;-) I just hope it was on time...

If you are the person who posted the garbage I saw yesterday and was shut down, it was deserved. Guests who behave bad should expect to be shown the door!

Are you one of the guys that hates people speaking their mind and saying what other people are afraid to say?

20,000 hours.... I barely have 10,000 over the last 10 years. LOL

Oh really? No, I'm not the guy.

I didn't curse or personally attack anyone and I was shown the door too this afternoon. Was my post harsh, a bit yes. But having ###### left in the beta forum does them no good whatsoever. Should I cross-reference my cheerleader posting in the other thread?

Blake

Since we've never met AFAIK, you don't realize how much your question does not apply to me. I have a former boss who could kick out a few choice words about my willingness to voice an opinion. But I will do it with crossing a line where (let's be nice) questionable words are thrown out in anger. Points of view can be expressed just as well without a need to become questionable.

Oh really? No, I'm not the guy.

No Blake, I still have no pom poms! I haven't been to the beta forum to see what occurred after my posting a response to your comments. My response posted above came well before my visit to all the other FS sites that I wander around to, including the beta forum.

Some folks just don't understand that it's seldom a case of WHAT is said nearly as much as it's a case of HOW something is said...

Profanity laced vitriol spewed forth solely as a torrent of hate is never welcome, anywhere!

Hello Bill

A different opinion, Profanity laced or not, is not necessarily a torrent of hate.

Hate is far too strong a word to use when talking about a computer game.

Lets get it said now, no one "Hates" MS Flight, some may have strong views on the product and are forceful in the words they choose to express those views, but I doubt anyone in their heart of hearts "Spews" hate when they express how they feel about a electronic game.

Only coincidentally I am sure, maybe you have missed it ?, but things have been settling down quite well here whilst you have been on your sojourn over at the Steam forum.

Certainly we have not seen anything put so strongly as:

"Profanity laced vitriol spewed forth solely as a torrent of hate is never welcome, anywhere!"

Bill, just chill out

It is a discussion board about binary digits representing pretend aircraft, no one hates anyone.

I cannot help it, and I doubt the nice bottle of red wine I have just enjoyed is helping

But I now have this mental image of you in full robes on the pulpit roaring

"Profanity laced vitriol spewed forth solely as a torrent of hate is never welcome, anywhere!"

Accompanied by bolts of lightning.

Peace brother
