There will be a lot of payware releases later this year and my wallet can't handle the stress.

I am not qualified to answer this question, but as far as I know, there will be a possibility of such an upgrade (not paying the full price of the pro version). Better ask on the facebook page and wait for the reply from the boss. It is very likely that all the version won't be released simultaneously. Higher versions will come some (hopefully little) time later after the Pilot one.
September 17, 201213 yr I won't be surprised if the professional version costs way over USD100,00! It's supposed to be used in real flight crew training after all, not made for entertainment use. Alexis Mefano
