I think California must have slipped a few more feet from recent earthquakes, LOL... As an example, I noticed the very recent charts for KLAX ILS's were updated to 251 degrees. All my PMDG NavData 1208, and FSDT scenery still had those ILS's at 249. I continue to use 249 vice the recent chart data from FlightAware, as that is what my scenery and aircraft currety have.

This is due to the fact that in real life the earth's magnetic variation changes:

http://en.wikipedia....#Air_navigation

This actually causes a change in runway numbers if it shifts enough - KTPA, Tampa FL had this happen the other year.

There's an updated magdec.bgl file you can download here that gets it closer. FSX doesn't perfectly model variation though so at some places it's always going to be slightly off vs. the real world:

I had sales tax :( - $37 and change...

Anyway beautiful product!!! fps about the same as SFO...

Untitled-103.jpg

Also a quick note: If you buy the product on the web page, and when you get into FSX and enter the serial, you'll have to restart FSX otherwise your buildings will disappear.

Thanks Ryan.

Oh, very nice, finally I can fly in to watch a Phoenix Coyotes game :). Well, not yet, but soon.

Any Yotes fans around here ?

Solution: find the scenery.cfg that is actually the one FSX updates/uses (might be in the FSX/roaming folder, sorry I'm not at my simming PC and don't quite remember. Do a search for the most recently updated scenery.cfg on your PC, make a copy, rename the copy to "scenerycfg.fsc" and copy it (and overwrite) into your FSX directory and VOILA!!!!

This is the procedure that is documented in the manual concerning FSC in a networked situation. This is done so the Database Manager can update the scenery files within FSC to enable correct display of installed airports. The manual is very clear, so clear that a novice like myself was able to install and operate FSC on a networked computer.

I reiterate, I have had FSC installed on the same computer with no issues and FSC installed on a networked computer with no issues.

I also had a quick look on the FSC support forum and if this is such a big issue where are all the posts complaining?

Holy cow!

I've been waiting for PHX and I wasn't dissapointed. It is now the best airport scenery I have on my computer and great for SWA flights!

What a nice way to wake-up this morning and find KPHX available.

I think I'll make my inaugural flight today from FBS's KSFO to KPHX.

I wonder if Mir included firetrucks lining the apron, spraying those cool looking water arches for my arrival? I guess I'll just have to contact-ground upon my arrival and see, LOL...

Great news! This just made my day.

I ordered a nice laminated map of the USA and i will be flagging all my high res airports. This one will get a big flag.

Phew, what a price. Glad that it's there, but will have to wait before getting this...

These are expensive. Actually most FSX add-ons are expensive compared to entire games/sims. But it's an addiction...er...hobby.

I think $35 is a very fair price for an airport of that quality, plus the price is in line with what FSDT, FT, and ORBX sells their airports for. I was just looking at the sales page of PC Aviator for ORBX airports and they are pretty much all about $35 and some of those airports are much smaller. If it was around the same quality of BluePrint then $35 would be rather steep imho.

I agree the price is inline with other high quality offerings.

I didn't mean to say it's too expensive for what it is, I'm just saying that $35 is quite a bit of money; money that at the moment I really can't spend on FSX regardless of the quality of the product.

It's quite nice from the demo I tried although not completely without issues. I was seeing some textures that didn't line up, and some terrain problems around the underground roads by the terminal. Really tempted, but on the fence at this price point.

Did you set your FSX terrain settings the way the manual recommends? That's pretty crucial for this, a lot of the techniques used in high-end sceneries like this require specific settings. (mesh and texture resolution sliders specifically)
