September 14, 201213 yr I keep it to 30 mins to 1.5 hours. I use time compression over long periods of cruise, unless I'm twiddling with the FMC or enjoying the scenery (if it's over an interesting area that is, such as mountains) I fly about 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until CTD, whichever comes first. lol!
September 14, 201213 yr Mine average about 2 hours. Longest I'll do is PHNL-PANC. Even when the triple 7 arrives I'll stick with short flights. Randy Swofford
September 14, 201213 yr With the PMDG 737, I usually do short flights 1-3 hours, perhaps, if I am lucky will be able to fit in 2-3 segments in a day. I only get to fly once or twice a week. Before that, I used the 744 and usually did long flights ie 12 hours+, however I would start about an hour before going to bed, get to CL, then go to bed. When I woke up either the plane or PC would of crashed lol, or would be an hour or 2 away from T/D. Good times! - Most likely will do that with the 777, otherwise, wake up, do a flight, go out, then once I come back will only be a couple of hours till T/D. I dont like forwarding the time. Brent Lewis
September 14, 201213 yr I fly about 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until CTD, whichever comes first. Gotta love FSX  Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
September 14, 201213 yr Anywhere from 1-5 hours for me. I typically do regional hops in and out of Atlanta. ie ATL-PHL ATL-MYR ATL-CLT Some of my longer routes include Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, and Las Angeles. - Although, once the T7 from PMDG is out, I'll be doing some really long hauls... Altanta-Tokyo... :Big Grin:
September 14, 201213 yr Too Darn Long (about 1-2 hours, 3 max). Yes, for someone with back problems, this is too long, but I am addicted to it. In fact, I have to give myself moritorium days off, such that I can't even turn on my computer.
September 14, 201213 yr I typically fly 2 to 4 hours per day. When flying missions with the 91st Bombardment Group, I am in the cockpit between 3 to 6 hours. Flying some of the hops with the group I have been in the cockpit for 10 to 12.5 hours. I seem to recall taking around 11 hours on a flight in the B-377 from KOAK to PHNL. I always fly 'real time', never using time compression. Accu-sim aircraft do not respond well to that 'feature'. I remember back in the early 90's often spending around 100 hours per month flying Air Warrior on the old GEnie dial-up network. That cost $6/hour. 'Kids' today don't realize just how lucky they are ^_^ Paul
September 14, 201213 yr Normally anything from 1 to 5hrs, I also commonly do atlantic crossings to canada in the PMDG 744. Longest ever though was probably whenever I took the connie across the atlantic, ^_^ That was a mistake, cause I never use time accelaration  Will Torrens
September 14, 201213 yr I've spent much of my time in 2012 enjoying photo-realistic scenery. So, I fly about 30-90 minutes VFR in the Carenado C172 or Antz Eaglet. Whilst I thoroughly enjoy the bigger jets I find the complexity requires far too much time in planning etc. Anthony O'Brien
September 14, 201213 yr Typically I do some short haul trips in the Avro or a Boeing 737, typically between LOWW, LOWI, EDDM and LIPZ, which take about 45 minutes, if I have the time I add a second leg and someitems even a third. Another thing I like is hopping between my ORBX NA airports with appropriate aircraft (i.e. normally some prop aircraft, but for flights to PAKT I also like larger ones like a Bombardier or a Boeing). That's usually taking me an hour or so. Florian
September 15, 201213 yr Being retired I have the time to indulge. Usually Sunday through Friday in the evenings its 3-5 hours. I fly GA executive type like the Mustang or Epic Dynasty or Pilotus PC-12 and going point to point starting in one spot and continuing sometimes for weeks at a time before returning to homebase. "Why, he just jumped into the air and kept right on going."
