Number of NGX copies sold?

Featured Replies

From REX forums

"On an installed base of over 20K, we still think every user problem is one to many, but..."

So I bet that at least 80% of the REX users have the NGX, then we got the other wx-engines....now go & figure :Nerd:

Kind regards

Lots of people have duplicate accounts, or it could just be those spam pages Facebook is full of...

Not to be negativistic, but I suppose a fair amount of those are probably people who have not paid for their copies....

I think NGX oversold REX fairly well. At least, more people I know use AS instead of REX.

If im not mistaken, its this sort of info that MS was asking for when Flight was in development. I dont think payware 3rd party devs dare give out that sort of info, otherwise the original creator of the product (MS) could decide to charge exorbitant royalties for the priviledges of development work. Now since MS is out of the flight sim business, they arent really a threat anymore....but say now in the future some other sim comes up where the sim publisher starts screwing the devs?

I think this should answer the question....sorry if its a little hard to follow as the business world and I dont go together.

I'd be more interested in who actually knows how to fly it properly and who's tried to put GPS in it :LMAO: :LMAO:

Again, there have been enough sales for the PMDG boys to be able to continue providing us SIM nuts with the most realistic and complete airliner sims in the hobby. To me, that's all that matters. Let PMDG reap the benefits of our immense level of support. As long as our support is sufficient enough for them to continue to deliver top quality products, sales numbers mean nothing too me. Just my opinion!

These guesses are funny... :P

Needless to say, the numeric amount is not something we're going to be divulging here - we do not have investors / shareholders and there is no legitimate need for anyone to know our internal business numbers. I will say (because RSR's already said it in the past year) that the NGX became the best selling product in our history within just a few months after release last year.

Are you looking for shareholders?

I love how all of you are so quick to speak for PMDG, if they want to answer the question, they will, if not, the user will know they don't want to be asked questions like this.

No wonder RSR can afford his own aircraft. Though we do understand it's not John Travolta time with a B707 terminal built into the house.

Hey guys, lets not go overboard here. If we buy too many copies of the PMDG 777. RSR may just retire and shut down the shop and retire in Glendale, AZ. Ha ha ha!

According to a Game Daily report, in 2007 alone there were 280,000 copies of FSX sold.

Perhaps RSR's retirement would free up more time for putting the polish on their stellar product line, thus aiding in expediting the final product. Ahh I love to dream! Lol

My mistake guys. This Game Daily report for 280,000 copies of FSX sold in 2007 alone was ONLY in the U.S. ( I assume that's the lower 48).

We'll assume the number of copies sold in Unakleet, Alaska where the Jim Tweeto clan resides is nominal.

Doesn't FSX have international support???

Gotta love it.. RSR livin the dream!!
