Any news about my ban?

I am still checking it. Funny enough, my privileges are limited to banning people and not unban people. I will ask Mathijs to check the system when he returns back to work.

Hi Joshua,

I lost it in the middle of so many threads in the forum but it's easy to find one of the issues by departing from Malaga (LEMG) and using the SVL1H SID departing from RWY 13. There are ND drawing issues and A/C will not follow the SID.

I will check it.

It should be the SVL2H SID. I'm not at home now, cannot confirm but i think the SID was updated and is 2H.

Bug Confirmed, Fix on the way.

The next update should fix several things that are ALREADY FIXED in our SVN software just that we are waiting for a few more to come in and we will push out a new version again.

For the record, I have serious issues with the Airbus X Extended and ILS approaches too. It simply will not intercept and track the localizer, instead it veers off very sharply and starts making 360 degree turns when selecting LOC mode.

It tracks the STAR fine, but when engaging LOC from a normal intercept position it goes crazy. So, something is very wrong,

This has happened on the default KATL ILS 27R and Flytampa OMDB ILS 30R.

Much as I've personally 'given up' on this addon, I'm refreshed by Joshua's attitude here at Avsim. I don't use the AS forum any more due to the opposite from some others.

It's so good having somewhere neutral to come for this kind of stuff, so a BIG thanks once again to Tom and ALL the staff and helpers here at Avsim for making this possible. Rockon guys!

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

No chances.

The speed is most of the times 180 or 170 or 165 or 150 knots.

And I have flown these SIDs/STARs/approaches many times with other aircraft of comparable engine power and total mass (weight), such as PMDG 737NGX or the Leonardo Maddog MD-82, at the same speeds. They fly the routes flawlessly.

Your Airbus cannot (yet) handle laterally (in managed LNAV) any route that has radials and heading interceptions in it.

And it is evident even from the moment of flight planning at your origin airport. It cannot draw correctly any such SID/STAR/approach on the ND (either map or flight plan). And as it always follows what it draws (as it should be), it follows a DANGEROUS route completely off-path.

Some more data on the above:

The Airbus has no problem following the route, no matter how "tight" the turns are, if it's an RNAV procedure, so all points are precomputed fixes (LAT/LON) in the AIRAC cycle, and the plane's LNAV code does not have to compute them itself. For example, the other day I flew VNKT RNAV 02 approach (which does not forgive deviations from the prescribed path).

PS: I will try to do the following days two approaches (MMTJ and MMPR) that have almost full arcs composed of successive radials, between the mountains.

Have you made a post/thread on the forum about that? I will PERSONALLY BE ON HAND to solve this.

I have made such post, yes.

Seriously, this is insulting and offensive. I personally DONT BAN PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE I AM AGAINST THEM. My job is a developer. and that is to fix and answer to people. I dont bother with the political stuff.

I never said or implied that you were behind these bans in any way.

I was referring to the company (Aerosoft), which until now, has not openly admitted that the product has critical managed LNAV issues, regarding arcs, radials, heading interceptions, and so on.

Instead of putting co-pilots, checklists, and RAASes in the product, they should instead have shipped it with a perfect managed LNAV.

Was there any beta done on this product and if so, why wasn't it recognised before release please?

I took off from Manchester yesterday on a VFR flight and after switching to autopilot the aircraft would not respond to the heading setting? It just kept going around in right hand circles. The throttle indent was on 'climb' and had reached it's commanded flight level.

I have experienced the 'Localizer' problem also where the aircraft intercepts and then goes around in circles again. This is virtually unflyable and all flights lead to dissapointment.

I soothe my troubles by digging out the NGX and ENJOYING a flight.

I'm also a bit disappointed by the density of bugs. I'm starting to feel like a beta tester. Anyway, good to see Joshua on that thread. The devs seem to be working very hard on sorting out all the problems. I suggest we give them some more time and hope for a pleasant surprise.

In the mean time I'm back at flying my beloved NGX on European routes.

If I'm understanding correctly you were trying to fly a selected heading? Did you left or right click on the heading select knob? What did your FMA read?

I have not had any issues with LOC intercept, and I have flown many approaches to many different airports.. Am I doing something wrong? :He He:

So much user error here, being wrongly claimed to be 'bugs' ...

But the attitude and angryness of some does not lead me to want to explain solutions on this thread any more .......

I have not had any issues with LOC intercept

Me either. Mostly because this add-on usually causes a CTD long before I get anywhere near a localizer...
