December 24, 201213 yr Well I have completed 3 flights so far (in between NGX flights) and 2 times trying to land the aircraft has gone into a climb mode even with the throttles shut. It's alomost impossible to land it nicely. Anyone else? Are you talking about the autoland or hand flying? I find it very easy to land, get it down to VAPP with A/THR on and all you have to do is flare and idle the throttles. I've found in the sim it likes to fly a little fast when your on approach so judging the flare for smoothness can be difficult if you don't get the speed right but that's about it really. As for the autoland, so far the logic doesn't really account for flare mode very well and sort of does it to late and with very little reaction. If your throttle isn't staying in the place it's supposed to be in, ie if it's going into CLB or whatever on it's own then something is going on with your joystick hardware. Lawrence Ashworth

Hand flying the final is where I'm having the most trouble. The control stick just doesn't seem that responsive. It's hard to pull up in the flare. At first I thought it was something in my calibrations, but when I perform the flight control test, they are free and clear. I'm afraid to mess around with my controls too much, as they work fine with all other aircraft. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

I am also practicing my flare. lol See how real pilots fly the Airbus: Merry Christmas everyone! David Chen
December 24, 201213 yr Also close to the ground the FBW switches to landing mode where you have to hold a bit of back pressure on the stick just to keep the nose level. John-Alan Pascoe
December 24, 201213 yr Thanks David, it seems that the logic is far from correct with the AXE. George T
December 24, 201213 yr I posted at Aerosoft as well, but, would anyone not having issues consider programming a flight that causes me a CTD about 95% of the time? (or any of the others that seem to have issues at KLAX). I enter KPHX TFD3.TUS J92 HMO IPSEB ENEKO MMSD. (RWY8 departure, VOR 16 arrival) I get a CTD when I close the discontinuity before the way point TFD, the key that I am going to get a CTD seems evident when the (T/C) and (T/D) all appear before TFD, along with a MANUAL waypoint. I have gotten it to take once or twice by altering the entry sequence or if I enter manually each waypoint. But that seems inconsistent. I would like to at least narrow it own to my system, or the AC, as some at Aerosoft seem to be suggesting everyone having issues start debugging their own systems, as the issue is ours, while another has said there are circumstances that can crash the MCDU. My system is otherwise very stable, flying the NGX, with OPUS, RADAR Contact, WideFS, FS Flight Tracker and a VA ACARS program on long and short hops (or the MD-11, CS 757/767 on longer legs). I really don't want to screw that up unless I know it is my system . . . Edit - ok - Aersoft has clarified their position on this to a larger degree, so, I struck through part of my original post. I also forgot to add Merry Christmas and / or Happy Holidays to all . . . Joe Lorenc

Looks like a good way to get Carpal Tunnel Syndrome! Merry Christmas everyone too!!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
December 24, 201213 yr Anything more than flaps 1 for landing and your in deep sh-t! Spoilers cause a immediete climb, not on. :( George T
December 24, 201213 yr I have two questions: 1. Is there a way to fix the tires on the Airbus so that they don't throw up water spray when the tarmac and runway are dry? I have had this problem since I bought it. 2. On the E/WD I keep getting the blinking message and warning sound "A/FLT A/THR Limited" during the climb phase. What does that mean? Thanks! I think this ctd is nav databse related. I occasionaly have sid related ctds with all add on planes in fsx and fs9 and if you check the event viewer you see that it isn't related to fs. December 24, 201213 yr 2. On the E/WD I keep getting the blinking message and warning sound "A/FLT A/THR Limited" during the climb phase. What does that mean? From your screen name, you must know! My guess would be to check the thrust lever position for either a too low detent (below CL) or an offset between both levers. You should hear that warning tone and also see the FMA reminding you about the recommended thrust lever position. Which is CL with both pods running. Something like LVR CLB may come up. By this, just aim for the climb detent.

I have had this problem since I bought it. That's interesting. I've been noticing this issue with other planes too since my Orbx scenery has turned into winter. That spray brings the frames to its knees don't it Chris Strobel KSNA
December 24, 201213 yr Anything more than flaps 1 for landing and your in deep sh-t! Spoilers cause a immediete climb, not on. :( Haven't experienced that as yet with any of the landings I've done with this bird. I'm usually at full flaps and Vapp on final with no climbs or other anomalies. Be sure you're at the proper speeds as you deploy flaps on approach...perhaps that may be the issue? And why are you deploying spoilers on approach? Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
December 26, 201213 yr I got the saitek x52 pro joystick for Christmas and it works right out of the box with this addon, only had to do a few button mapping!! I was worried on having throttle issues, byt none of that so far!

Yes. Google and download a free programe called "Flusifix", which is a FSX interfacing utility. With it, you can reduce/deactivate that annoying effect. 2. This means your throttle is not quite in the CLB detent. Try pushing or pulling it back a few millimetres, until that warning extinguishes.
