December 23, 201213 yr You need bleed air Manny, start the APU and see if that helps. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
December 23, 201213 yr The APU Mst turns on.. But the APU is AVAIL. when I click on it it turns on and then goes back to AVAIL The engine still would not start Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
December 23, 201213 yr I have been and no joy. With 2 people on board, no cargo, fuel less than a quarter, only airport so far ith a long enough runway is Edwards in CA. Are you setting flex temp or leaving it blank? (Which I believe defaults to something like 68 degrees) I just completed a flight from KMCO to KSFO almost fully loaded (149.3K lbs) using a flex temp of 41, on runway 35L which is a 10000ft runway, and she took off with less then 7000ft (If it was any more the FS2Crew RAAS would have alerted me). December 23, 201213 yr OK..I have been able to start the engines.. I needed to close the doors. But then the PFD and the ND doesn't come on properly. Is all RED. I have an IR NOT aligned message. I tried resetting the IR...but doesn't help Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

I tried resetting the IR...but doesn't help Assuming you also set the Align IRS on the MCDU Init page, you have to wait, It will take a few minutes. It's not like some of the other addons that align right away. It's a little more realistic that way. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
December 23, 201213 yr Ah... I had to press Align IRS in MCDU which I did not... so that was the issue.. Thank you Manny Now I Taxing..and the TO Config thing keeps nagging me. I pressed the To Config button and the nag would not stop. I also see a message SPLRS....ARM (in blue). Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
December 23, 201213 yr Blue items are things you have to do. Arm your spoilers by moving the speed brake handle all the way forward. See if that helps! Jarkko Puustinen (FSX live streamer, YouTuber) http://www.twitch.tv/virtualfreightdog http://www.youtube.com/user/VirtualFreightDog
December 23, 201213 yr Arm your spoilers by moving the speed brake I can move my speed brake to the max or to retard it...but the SPLRS...ARM remains the same. Is there another key command to arm the spoilers? Hmmmm... Shift+/ Arms the spoilers. Hmm... Thank you now I have to see how to asssign this to my axis Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

December 23, 201213 yr Manny, have you completed the tutorial in volume 6? Most of your answers will be in there. Scott
December 23, 201213 yr Not another throttle question..... My CH yoke throttle, which I have configured in FSX to "Throttle" (not throttle 1 or 2, etc.), works well with the ABX. I have this configured so that I can fly the VRS F/18, while I have Throttle 1 and Throttle 2 configured through FSUIPC (registered) to a Saitek throttle, which I use with twins such as the NGX and B55. I have read that I can't have more than 1 connection to any throttle with the ABX, and the CH throttle does work well (once again connected and assigned to "Throttle" directly into FSX) when I unconfigure my Saitek throttles in an "Aircraft Specific" FSUIP profile. But- the CH throttle is placed in line with my yoke, not were it should be.... and besides, I wanted to see how I could get Throttle 1 and 2 on the Saitek quadrant via FSUIPC working. So, I unconfigured the CH throttle (now doesn't do anything), and set up the Saitek throttles through FSUIPC as shown in this thread and on the Aerosoft forum, with sending them direct to FSX. I also edited ASInput.ini for 2 throttles. What I now get, is the CH throttle does nothing (as intended). But the ABX throttles when using the Saitek throttles go from full reverse through idle only, they will never go beyond idle thrust. Once again, the calibration is being done by sending direct to FSX, and no other throttles axis assignments exist to conflict with those I am trying to use. I also experimented with InvertAxis, bit no change. What I do note is that after I have set "Sensitivity- all axes" in FSX to full right for the Saitek controller, this setting does not hold as if I open up the Settings-Controls again it is once again fully left. Could this be my issue- and what would always reset this slider to fully left? (The CH sensitivity holds the full-right setting with no problem). I hope this makes sense- I'm not blaming this a/c but rather figure I have something screwed up.... any help much appreciated. Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.

Hi, Ok that would be blank on the MCDU PERF page. On the default ready to fly setting the whole PERF page is blank. Tried entering 30 but no joy. Should that page have some of the fields filled in by default? Thanks and Merry Xmas! Chris Chris Strobel KSNA

Should that page have some of the fields filled in by default? Thanks and Merry Xmas! Chris You set the PERF page by setting your flaps I use 2 so it will display as 2/UPD, Flex I set to what I think would be appropriate for the temperature conditions. (This is easy on the NGX and boeing, because they display the expected N1 for that setting) It was a little chilly (For Florida) this morning so I set 41 (Which happens to be the default for the Wilco A320 BTW) Then I assign the departure runway on the flightplan page, that will give m my V-Speeds. The other thing you need to do if you haven't been doing it, is set the second INIT page, This is very important as it's how the FMGS calculates the weight. You need to enter the Zero Fuel weight, and the amount of fuel. Remember the Aerosoft A320 only models metric, so these need to be in KGs. You can st this up with the supplied fuel planner. Just enter the calculated value into the MCDU (FMGS). The ZFW was say 55,500Kg you would enter /55.5 for it, (The front value is the ZFWCG which is automatically calculated) If fuel was 10100Kg you would enter 10.1 in the Block field. December 23, 201213 yr Seems to be a frame hog not good so I as I have said before ngx is amazing considering how detailed it is. Although I wouldn't agree it's a hog, the Exrtended does seem a lot heavier on frames than Aerosoft suggested. Comments about it being "easier on frames than the default A321" don't appear to be the case at my end, and I have had to reduce settings to get smooth operation, lower than those settings I use for the NGX. At this point I'd say that the Extended is about 5-10% heavier on frames than the NGX, on my system. It's still a wonderful add-on and the best Airbus ever released for FSX (so far!), but "frame rate friendly" it is not.
