What happened, PMDG?

Featured Replies

Great pic. I'm not going to lie, when I noticed the picture had disappeared from Facebook, I half expected that somebody had made an unnecessary (paranoid) comment about a plane flying that low over Washington in a photograph...never did I expect PMDG would come under such abuse. There are some self-important low-lifes out that spoil it for everyone...which is a damn shame.

Another voice from the silent majority here. Just wanted to step up and say that I really apreciate what all you people over at PMDG are doing! Nice to see the picture posted again here. I've been having so much fun with the 737 NGX the last couple of weeks, and I am patiently awaiting the release of the 777. You just take your time and release it when it's ready, and ignore all the whiners and haters (as I'm sure you're already doing  B) )

You make by far the best addons for FSX. The level of detail and immersion is simply stunning, and my guess is that any new product you're going to release will be well worth the wait!

Hi,

I'm a seaman, chief mate on a merchant vessel with 70 to 100 persons on board. As such I have also to face issues with technicians or crew with childdish behaviour, people who don't even respect the basic rules. Do you know what it means to repeat every day, every month, that you have to flush the toilet after use, or use the proper garbage bins for garbage segregation... I know it. On this forum it seems to be the same think with other matters off course. But some can't be educated whatever you do.

So I can understand the frustration of PMDG's who have to deal with that on forums.

Regarding collective punishment (sorry for my approximate english), yes it is not fair but sometimes, it is the only way to get rid of issues. People don't want to use the sport equipment properly and keep breaking them, remove them for a week, period! ( exemple on my vessel).

Here, on each update, people (some) keep complaining, or even insulting PMDG (even I can't see any reason to do so....), stop giving updates, period!

To people who think that punishment is not fair, no it is not, but understand that when you are faced with that kind of behaviour, the frustration grows and grows, and you finally get so upset that you simply don't want to see it again.

However I'm impressed by the patience and kindness of the PMDG team and especially Mr Randazzo.

I can't say that I exactly understand what represent the development of sich a product in terms of workload, but you definitely don't need people to get on you back and smash you in the face especially when we see the quality of your product and your level of involvement.

If you decide not giving anymore update until the release, i will support you silently and be happy to wake up one morning to find the T7 released like a Christmas gift in my socket (credit card aside...!^^)

I do not condone these remarks on facebook, though I did not see them (havent bothered to check, I detest facebook as it's just a data miner on steroids)...BUT I will say this:

Facebook is open season, and political comments are IMHO fair game.  I will reserve mine for other forums but I did hear one mentioned here I thoroughly agreed with.

For some odd reason I constantly dreamt of a T7 release today...sad, dunno.

Carry on.

Maybe we should have that photo snuck into the compiled preview thread and just not talk about it, but enjoy it...

To begin, I'd like to say thank you for the photo. Very nice shot. I appreciate an update of whatever form it comes in.

Next, why is it OK to bash the country we live in (USA)? Regardless of what political party is in control, it's OUR country (for those of us in the U.S.). If I want to buy foreign merchandise no one says "Hey don't buy that! (Country XXX) starves their people/ gases the religious minority/shuns people of XXX color skin/<or insert whatever atrocity is perpetuated on it's populace, or another populace, by it's government>". Too much "pot calling the kettle black" in almost all "USA Sucks" comments.

FB is drama. Too much of it. I've chosen to opt out. However, why does a niche flight simulator add on company have to be hit with anti-USA comments? What's the correlation? Because the company is based in the US, it's OK to talk about NSA policy? I'd love to know when PMDG became a "king maker" in the US government. NSA /= PMDG. IMO, we're on the AVSIM and PMDG because we love to fly. Not to talk about government policy.

If ONE person complains about PMDG staff going to a party or taking their family out, I'll lose all faith in humanity!

I have been a GM for a Bread Company in Ohio for 12 years. I have been sued I think 4 or 5 times all of them being dropped before it got to the big court. One suite was actually called "Discrimination by association". So you never know. And then there is the uncountable grievances. Some of them just make you laugh. Like Ryan said you don't get mad you just accept what you have and move on.

It is sad that people have to be like this. Some of them are angry from birth and we will never change that.

I will be a dedicated PMDG customer all out.

Thanks Ryan and Your Staff for what you do on a Daily Basis,

Ron

Thanks, Ron Fields

Knowing who some of these folks are, I would suggest that PMDG not sell them the T7. That would be justified, I think.

I seriously couldn't agree with you more!! They don't deserve something that they have constantly moaned about, and complained about!

They clearly don't want it!

What city is that taken over?

Looks like Washington D.C

What city is that taken over?

As other have said, it's DC. That was the theme. It was the 4th of July , Independence Day and it was flying over our nations capitol.

Note to PMDG:

Most of us would not ###### nor give you a hard time if you release a "finished" product with a few bugs, in software/gaming that's to be expected.  Waiting to squash every single bug is a developmental quagmire IMHO.
