Btw, there's a lot of local weather effects in development right now (our internal list is at ~ 100 airports) and we will start to release them once Build 12 (the next update) is out.

We are now at build 14 and no new effects has been added, maybe you could shed some light on this? I have been anxiously waiting for the list to grow after I saw you posted this :P . And BTW, it would be nice to have a forum for FSGRW, a place to ask questions and get news on the product etc?

Thanks

Hi!

Build 12 was just released this sunday and Build 14 contained some important bug fixes (Build 13 was skipped due for obvious reasons). I have already added 5 new local weather effects and I will add more of them every week. Howeve, don't expect all 100 of them to be released at once, but we plan to do 5 to 10 of them per week.

Btw, there's a forum: fsgrw.freeforums.org :)

No, I'm not expecting all 100 effects to be released tomorrow, but I just didn't see any new effects added to the list on the website so I assumed they hadn't been added. The list looks just like it did when build 12 was released(in preparation). Maybe you could update it or atleast tell me what 5 airports you have added this time? 5-10 of them per week sounds great(alot faster than I expected  )

And thanks for the forum link, had no idea that there was a forum:)

Keep up the good work.

I also would like to know which are the new airports with effects added.

Thanks.

Hi Bernt, will you be soon introducing the weather output to the PMDG T7 FMS, a neat new feature to upload enroute winds in the new plane?

Thanks.

The weather ( winds & temps ) chart is already available and very easy to use for FMS programming. I use it and so far has been extremely useful.

I have to add that FSGRW really got it when it comes to "bringing life" to fsx. For those users of other simulators who complained about their aircraft flying on-rals, I kept saying the secret, appart from a well designed aircraft, is also on a good weather program!

I have added Belfast City (EGAC), Coventry (EGBE), Manchester (EGCC), Cardiff (EGFF) and Southampton (EGHI) a few before Build 12 was released :).

777 Enroute Winds: I still have to check the format, but yes, it's definitely on the list and will probably be added as an export function of our flight planner.

Bernd

Ah, that explains why I haven't seen any new effects lately. Thanks for your response

Loving this weather engine, but I downloaded build #12 and for some reason my FSX hangs for a few seconds while injecting the weather in dynamic mode. build #11 didn't seem to have this problem, is it possible to download build #11 so I can re-install it?

Thanks

Martin

It is at build 14 now, have you tried updating to the latest?

Just did a quick flight with 14 and it seemed to work fine...not sure what was going on with #12?

Cheers

Martin

Happened to me twice now that FSGRW becomes unresponsive en freezes FSX. Happened with the #12 and now with the #14. My mouse pointer stays active moving away from fsx to the taskbar or to the second monitor. Didn't happen with previous versions. Gonna do a few flights with Opusfsx to be sure that FSGRW is the culprit.

Fsx + proatc

Did the same flight using OpusFsx as weather engine. Fsx frooze at exactly the same spot. So FSGRW was not the culprit.

Pro-atc was still active. Don't know how to explain this.

Jos

Jos, I had the same thing happen. To fix it, I deleted the fsx cfg, and built a new one. All good now.

I am puzzled too, but deleting the cfg did the trick
