Seems like I'm unlucky. I went from 4.0 MB/s at the start to now down below 1.0 MB/s. Bit sad to see the estimated time after 3.0 GB at 32 minutes, after it being 20 minutes at the start. :lol:

 

I would'nt complain about that. Some will have alot worse : )

Ok - this is going to take some time. Its telling me 5 hours to download (NZ) ADSL+2 max 8 mbytes per sec - not getting anything close to that even with download acelerator (actually around 368 Kbits per sec at the moment)

ouch that hurts I would try another server as you are using an accelerator so you should be ok to try.

I chose the Australian one as being closest to my location. I cannot imagine the Cloud server being any better - and as for the others - distance and time will just make it worse - ouch it has just dropped to 250kbits per sec 

Now down to 24Kbits per hour - anticipated delivery is now saying 13 hours 34 minutes.

Switched to Cloud and that too is dropping from initial 350kbits now down to 150 Kbits and dropping - sheesh - everyone, get off the server until I have finished !!

Cloud is better than using the Oz server. NZ internet might be slow, but aussie is slower

I'm using the CDN server and I am at 33%.

Dropped from 1.8mb/s to 1.4 as soon as word hit avsim.

Lucky! I am using free download manager 694 KB @ 38%. Gonna go outside with the kids and forget about it. But I will still monitor this thread. I love release threads. Let us know when you install. 

Downloading nice from the German server, I decided to stay awake for 30 mins more although it's already 5AM here in Finland...

 

Gonna take a couple of comparison shots from Africa and Middle East mainly as I have GEX installed for those.

Has there been some guidance on whether or not to uninstall GEX first? Does it matter?

I don't think it matters, FTX Global just overwrites GEX stuff. 

it will overwrite gex textures so you might as well

1/3 of the way thru - download is now 650 to 750 kbits per sec on cloud so if anyone from NZ/AUS is reading this I suggest you try cloud first. It is telling me just over an hour and a bit to go......
