Entering wait state

So can we run our Mega Scenery Earth above this in our scenery libraries? FTX Global sounds like fun, but I also use MSE for real world flying familiarization, and really don't want to give it up.

Of course you can still use MSE.

Should there be any entries in the Scenery Library in FSX for FTXG? I'm not seeing any and I'm entirely confused. Not sure if my textures are still GEX or FTXG.

I think for texture replacement you will not have any entries in you scenery cfg.  They are just overwriting your current texture files.  

 

Its worrisome if your not sure which you are running which makes me wonder if this product was really worth the hype.  Your not seeing the drastic change everybody was saying you would see.

It's lacking the wow factor for me personally, I actually wasn't sure if GEX was still on or FTXG in the Chicago area. I need more time with it. I guess it's worth 90 bucks to have the whole world coverage. Like I said, I need more time but the first impression wasn't jaw dropping by any means.

Waiting for the reviews and screenshot comparisons. I'm definitely on the fence with this. I'm a photoreal guy so I am debating if this is worth it for the areas that I fly to that don't have photoreal or that I haven't made photoreal for. So far I haven't seen any screenshots that make me say "I gotta have it!", that's for sure.

If you can't even tell if it installed properly, then I'd say it didn't install properly.

Yeah, I do. But, to me, it's well worth it. We all have our definition on what we consider to be real and what makes a truly immersive experience and for me, it's photoreal.

 

I should also add that I keep my photoreal on an external USB drive, so that probably doesn't help with speed there.
