September 13, 201312 yr Commercial Member Guys i cant see the cockpit lights from the outside (external ) Anyone have this problem I noticed this too. Even with all the floodlights on the cockpit is dark. Minor detail. Best regards, Robin.
September 13, 201312 yr I love the aircraft. I think that PMDG has done a fantastic job on this model. My only "major" complaint is regarding the continual "long-pause" glitch. A 5 minute pause every 10 minutes or so. I know that PMDG is looking in to the issue so I do hope that they resolve it in due time. Like anything there are a few other things that I am sure they will tidy up in service pack(s) to come. Nothing major (other then the long pausing glitch) in my view though. Cheers! Sean Franklin
September 13, 201312 yr It's all in the details, and this aircraft has some incredible details and lots of them - just about every day I'm appreciating what PMDG have done with the 777. I often get discouraged when people talk about "eye candy" as if it's meaningless fluff (more often it's about their system not being able to run the eye candy at acceptable fps) ... perhaps because I just have an appreciation of how hard it is to make something look as good as it does with the 777. I've see numerous posts on this and other forums where people think that "3D software" automatically creates cockpits, just grab a few canned objects, resize and viola, instant cockpit. This couldn't be further from the truth -- the amount of work, refinement, knowledge required to make something look "as real as it gets" is staggering ... and to make it work in FSX adds yet another dimension of complexity. Well worth $90.
September 13, 201312 yr I really hope the DC6 is next out of the chute. The 747 is yet another button-liner in the same vein as the 737 and 777...
September 13, 201312 yr Across the top menus of FSX, click Add-ons, Click EZdok camera add-on, then click GLOBAL ENABLE. It should "wake up" and start working again. Worked for me. I went further. Open EZdok Studio, and check the key combo for "GLOBAL ENABLE/DISABLE", I changed mine to CTL+SHIFT+F12, which is wild enough it doesn't conflict with any of my 777 key command combos or EZdok key commands. Caveat: When making a change to EZdok, you must hit the ESC (Escape) key to clear out an unwanted value from a field window, then click back in the new empty field and type or do your button combo presses or joystick button presses (as appropriate). In other words, put the mouse cursor in the field you wish to alter, then hit the ESC key to 'erase' what's currently in that field, and THEN set about creating the NEW value for that input window. Someone did already, you will see it in some of the livery topics. Thank you Fabo. I found the new AA livery and it's quite well done. Install was not as simple as I expected the livery file goes into a different PMDG folder than the main PMDG subfolder beneath FSX itself. I was a bit surprised the livery wasn't packaged up so I could have simply used the PMDG livery install tool, which is highly improved with the release of the T7. R. September 13, 201312 yr I re-installed FSX for this 777 and A2A' s C172... You couldn't tell the difference, I know... Anyway, this was my best choice, and those were probably my best buys after previous PMDG and A2A acquisitions ( and RealAirs too ). This aircraft is AMAZING, I hope they can fix the problems with the FBW logic with a patch, but so far, it has given me the best time of my simmer life after Aerowinx PS1 !!! September 13, 201312 yr . My only "major" complaint is regarding the continual "long-pause" glitch. A 5 minute pause every 10 minutes or so. I know that PMDG is looking in to the issue so I do hope that they resolve it in due time. Interesting. I haven't heard anyone else mention this. Do you know where the relevant thread/conversation is? I'd like to read up on it. I'm going to be purchasing the T7 tonight and in the past I would get this problem with the MD-11. It was only with that plane though. I tried every solution I could find. Replaced uianimation core. HIMEM fix. Played around with lowering sliders, different nVidia Inspector settings, sound drivers, etc. and I was never able to completely get rid of it. It usually happened later in cruise or during decent so I believe it was a memory issue. Sometimes it would happen more than once and the 2nd or 3rd occurrence usually resulted in a fatal error, however I never received an OOM warning. The only OOM I've had was while on descent into JFK in heavy cloud cover/fog in the FSLabs Concorde and wasn't surprised do to all the graphics from the weather/New York itself and the 101 panels in the plane. So the fact that it's creeping up on some people makes me think I'm a little more prone to it than most, given my history. Oh well. There's no way that I'm NOT going to buy the T7. I'm actually quite excited. Dave Wegner - Don't be afraid of common sense or the search function.

September 13, 201312 yr I have to agree with much that has been said. The power of the 777 is impressive, especially in the climb. It really seems to be a more automated 737. I have to admit, however, that i think I like flying the MD-11 more than this one, but I haven't done that much yet. I am getting outstanding frame rates and few glitches. The sound package is fantastic, and the FMC interface to make changes in the simulator is very helpful. I'm running a Navidia GEForce 660 card, and getting a nice result. As usual, the manuals are great, and I look forward to the advanced tutorial. I wish Topcat would finish the interface for the 777, but that is not PMDG's problem.
September 13, 201312 yr I have to admit, however, that i think I like flying the MD-11 more than this one, I'm with you on that. I've already put the T7 in the hangar and gone back to the MD-11. September 13, 201312 yr I noticed this too. Even with all the floodlights on the cockpit is dark. Minor detail. Best regards, Robin. I remember this being asked for NGX as well - it's something I wondered about, too. Unfortunately, it cannot be done, Ryan answered that at the time. I might as well join this thread with my opinion: On my system the 777 runs very smooth, better than the NGX. I actually like the high degree of automation, because it's much easier to operate in a single pilot environment. It's a beautifully crafted machine in real life as it is in this simulation. Biggest surprise: The auto cruise feature has really opened up a whole new FSX-world for me, in the days since release I've been to places that I haven't visited since the days of Aerowinx PS1. Probably an expensive feature in the end, as this puts many more great add-on airports within reach ;-) Christoph Kühne
September 13, 201312 yr I'm with you on that. I've already put the T7 in the hangar and gone back to the MD-11. I'm getting to be right there with both of you! Flying the T7 is awesome, but it just doesn't feel right. / CPU: Intel i7-9700K @4.9 / RAM: 32GB G.Skill 3200 / GPU: RTX 4080 16GB / Freight Pilot
September 13, 201312 yr I just completed the tutorial flight yesterday. No issues whatsoever!!!! This included using OPUS weather and Radar Contact ATC. I also saved and resumed the flight over a 3 day period. She's a joy to fly
September 13, 201312 yr For me this is the most amazing and sophisticated plane there is for FSX. When comparing it to the NGX it -of course- feels much bigger but most of all the sound and feeling are much better. Driving this bird over the taxiway or runway, with the Buttkicker, makes it much more realistic then the NGX. I hear and feel every bump. For me it flies smoother and I get better frame rates at busy airports on Vatsim. The way of flying is comparable to the NGX but it feels more solid. Compared to other long haul birds in my fleet (I don't have the MD-11) it is a huge step forward. Go on PMDG!
