September 7, 201312 yr I think the 777X has a bit of autothrottle problems. See my thread I posted yesterday: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/419170-at-problem-with-goflight-tq6-adv/ Sometimes the AT has also difficulties to hold the selected speed and the aircraft gets into overspeed. seems to be a external throttle problem which points to the fsuipc set up, since users that don't have external throttles havnt posted your issues of yet, that I havnt seen as of yet, but could be wrong though I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
September 7, 201312 yr A couple of times I've had Opus and FSX give me high temps at altitude (once in SA flying Citation X, once 777 tutorial), if this happens again then have a look at your SAT and TAT. It's only happened twice for me since buying Opus though.
September 7, 201312 yr The OP is only asking for some help. Isn't this what the Avsim Community is all about, assisting and helping with our own relevant knowledge/expertise? Why all the oft-repeated ' RTFM' et al references? The OP has a real-life ATPL, which is far MORE than what we mere desktop jocks have. Let's respect that. Hope you get it all sorted, Mr Carter. He was a bit passive aggressive, no?
September 7, 201312 yr One more for the throttles: Set your options to "never override", so the T7 has full control of thrust, no matter what your TLA (physical) is. If I'm correct, your thrust was less than what the T7 could have commanded near the stall. Looks like lower thrust commanded by your hardware overrode the A/T. What happened to AVSIM
September 7, 201312 yr Commercial Member I'm sorry, but you don't really have any authority to waltz in here telling PMDG you can't be the only one with major issues and that they left bugs unfixed. Well, at least he waltzed. He could have "pranced". I hate it when a pilot does that, especially when I'm a passenger waiting to board. I mean, prancing? SERIOUSLY! WTH? I hereby grant the OP full authority to waltz anytime and anywhere he wishes, and for any reason! Most especially when anyone drops the name "Matilda". Now, to clear up the other matter. I also grant the OP full and open authority to ask questions of any developer, though I do recommend caution when addressing the supreme being (whomever that might be for you). September 7, 201312 yr I don't think you're making this up at all, but you really should just TRY what we're telling you to try before assuming that there's something intrinsically wrong with the aircraft simulation. It has absolutely nothing to do with your abilities. It's simply because there could be any number of external issues at play here. Like I said, FSUIPC is a huge one in terms of the problem you're describing. Opus, too, sounds like a probable culprit (I don't have it, but it stands to reason that it could play games with such a complex flight model). Point being, diss the jerks who keep trying to question your ability. But don't be too quick to jump to conclusions by questioning the quality of PMDG's work product. I have a "not insignificant" amount of RW experience myself, and I am extremely impressed by the fidelity of this simulation. Hi everyone I am just playing 'Devils Advocate' here You are saying that it is possibly an Opus issue but does this issue happen with other aircraft such as the 737NGX or any other third party 777 ..... Process of elimination me thinks ...... Regards Paul
September 7, 201312 yr Author Hi Everyone A quick update on the issue I am having. I just replicated the flight again, this time with an updated FSUIPC module, deleting the old ini and after recalibrating yoke, throttles etc. While I didn't have as much of an issue as the first attempt, it still doesn't "feel" quite right. Speed were generally a bit below the commanded climb out speed but not as much as before. I noticed throughout the climb nothing out of the ordinary in terms of outrageously high OAT either. Tomorrow I will turn off Opus Wx and see what happens on the same route. I never had problems in the B737 with Opus but this is an entirely different creature - on my machine at least. Also had a long period where the instrumentation failed to update in the decent (maybe 90 seconds) - could see the weather passing by, outside views were available but no update of the instrumentation. Before anyone jumps down my throat, I know it is mentioned in the intro!! Just for the developers info if interested. September 7, 201312 yr I'm sorry, but you don't really have any authority to waltz in here telling PMDG you can't be the only one with major issues and that they left bugs unfixed. Obviously you are the only one with these issues since nobody else has reported them. I have no way tell if it's user error, but that would be my guess. Either that or possibly something in your hardware setup is causing the issue. I had to tweak my hardware settings a bit to work better with the 777. I understand you are frustrated, but telling the developer how they majorly messed up the plane when you are clearly the only one with major problems like what you described isn't going to get you anywhere either. Warning Corby can express his opinion too, but better calm his tone, or face an immediate long term suspension. I don't like the way he has written afterward in explanation either. Apologize Corby, and really convince me you mean it from the first word, or face a problem I guarantee you can't handle. Kind regards
September 7, 201312 yr Just want to say I'm completely with you on this one Tim, and actually I was having some issues myself which could relate to your issues somehow. For example I had no wheel brakes at all when landing in Newcastle on my first flight whith autobrakes 3 set, and still no response with manual braking. And even weirder; I started off with working brakes when taxiing out of Dubai yesterday, but then I suddenly lost them... I've also had some issues where the throttles stops responding and then comes back on again, so I decided to try fix it. I'm also using hardware stick, throttle and pedals, although it's the Logitech G940. What worked for me was to set up all axes except the throttles in FSUIPC. You've probably heard this before, but it could maybe be a good thing to reassign everything like I did. Just make sure you delete all the axis assignments from within the FSX Controls setup and assign them from within FSUIPC and calibrate them there as well. Not saying it will work, but if it does I'd be glad to be to help! Good luck! Obviously you are the only one with these issues since nobody else has reported them. EDIT: Ovbiously he's not the only one with these issues.. Magnus F.
September 7, 201312 yr +1 Stephen As soon as I saw that post from Coryb I though it was WELL out of order and I am pleased you have pulled him up on it

September 7, 201312 yr Here is my humble suggestion to the person who started this post (Tim) and to the individual at risk of being banned (Corby). When you write posts try to take the finger pointing out of it. If there is a problem you are having, then state the facts of the problem, leave out comments, observations, or interpretations regarding other individuals and entities. The reason for this is, given this form of communication (written on screen only) we are missing so many other cues that would normally help to convey our full message, so while you are thinking "We'll, I'm just asking a question about abc" the missing visual cues leave your message open to all sorts of interpretations. By leaving out observations and interpretations reader don't have to wonder what you meant by this sentence or that sentence. My two cents to help keep not just this thread but other threads and forums civil. Richard Bansa
September 7, 201312 yr Magnus, I remember reading somewhere that if the aircraft touches down to softly that the auto brakes will not apply, and this would be %100 realistic, I believe it is the same in the 747 and 737 but never happened to me. On the 777 it has happened to me on 2 manual landings, if it happens during auto-land then I would think there could be something wrong, although it may be possible auto-land can touch down too soft. Regards, Jordan McTiffin
September 7, 201312 yr HI Tim, I believe I had an issue very similar to your's yesterday myself. What's the FMC speeds showing as on the LEGS page? See the thread here for a description and short video of my issue. Also. in the end it was caused by a VROUTE imported flight plan. Not sure if your issue is related, but I thought it's worth a try responding, so just throwing it out there. Regards Rynardt Rynardt Spies Site: www.virtualvcp.com | Twitter: @rynardtspies

Regards, Lol it's funny you'd say that, because I was actually nearly 100 tonnes over MLW at 320'000kg, so the landing should be anything from soft! Just wanted to try out the bird and didn't expect to land in a while  Thanks for the advice though! Magnus F.
