December 5, 201312 yr Is there big advantages or differences that ASN was able to use in p3dV2 that could not be used with FSX? I don't use P3Dv2, so I'm not sure. I was under the impression that some weather graphics were improved, but the engine is essentially the same. The reason why the FSX version won't work with P3Dv2 is because is connect is different, and the AS Module ASN uses works differently in P3D. Don't quote me on that! I'll see what I can dig up with the P3D testers. December 5, 201312 yr Don't quote me on that! I'll see what I can dig up with the P3D testers. Thanks. I thought you were a beta tester the way you laid everything out. What I meant, was if there was things that Hifi was able to do because its V2. Hopefully for the better as we know FSX has all these limitations and bugs which always gets an answer that it cannot be done. Also says that most things have been overcome. Do you know what they were not able to overcome? Just curious, look forward to the upgrade irregardless. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
December 5, 201312 yr The version of ASN we are testing at the moment in P3D V2 is more like an Alpha build, it does not have all of the features that are in the FSX version enabled at this time, we have been extremely busy finalising the FSX version, so we are unsure as yet what differences there will be, if any. Cheers, Andy.

But ASN for FSX and P3Dv2 look the same, just slightly different guts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Devin CYOW
December 5, 201312 yr Sadly ASN will be released on Monday. Regarding present storm Xaver in western europe it would be a good test for the wind depiction of this new software. Let's do some challenging approaches with AS2012 guys. Intel i9 12900K, Asus ROG Strix Gaming Z690-A Wifi D4, GSkill 32gb, RTX 4090 Regards Chris Kathi
December 5, 201312 yr Chris nearly every Active Sky product I can remember has had historical weather built into it, just set the time and date you want to fly in FS and tick the "Lock to Sim time" tick box and the weather for that time and place will be loaded from the servers into your simulator. There is at least 2 years worth of weather on the servers for every product with this feature (including ASN) and for previous products its goes back a lot further than that. Cheers, Andy.
December 5, 201312 yr Can't wait!!! I will buy it for sure! Enviado desde mi iPhone 5S con Tapatalk José Fco. December 6, 201312 yr Something for you to digest: User Guide Thanks very much for posting ths, and please don't take this the wrong way, but can I suggest this is proof-read and revised before release?. Some of the grammar is woeful. Andy
December 6, 201312 yr Commercial Member We're focusing on the depiction of weather vs. grammar in our documentation at the moment, but if you have any suggestions for improvement or corrections, based on the release version documentation, we, as always, are very much appreciative of your feedback. Thanks! Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies

December 6, 201312 yr Have any of the beta testers tired ASN with ConcordeX. AS2012 will flip concorde over as a result of wind shifts and the settings have to be limited to fly it. Also, are the beta testers combining ASN with FSUIPC wind control or does ASN negate the need for this. Mark CYYZ

Also, are the beta testers combining ASN with FSUIPC wind control or does ASN negate the need for this. I believe a couple of the team do use the ConcordeX and no ASN does not cause issues like that, I've read every single post on the HIFI forums over the last 18 months of alpha and beta testing and nothing like that was mentioned at all regarding that aircraft. If weather conditions are bad enough though there is potential for any aircraft to have bad things happen to it, you really do need to take care now around storms. FSUIPC weather features are not required at all and are actually specifically stopped from interfering with ASN at a low level in the code as far as I understand it. Cheers, Andy.
December 6, 201312 yr One of our Beta members tested extensively with the Concorde and the SR-71. I haven't touched anything FSUIPC related to weather during the alpha or beta process. ASN is smooth as silk! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Devin CYOW
