December 7, 201312 yr 20 to 30 seconds is a over conservative estimate in my experience Jeroen, with a fast broadband connection the weather downloads and is depicted in less than 10 seconds on my PC. Even better! Forum owner or not doesn't give you the right to be rude Tom. I think Tom meant that PMDG, as being a forum owner (of their own AVSIM subforum) can do what they want in their own PMDG forum. You seem to think that Tom is saying he himself can say whatever he wants...? If PMDG would promote their planes in this FSX forum, I think Tom would say the same. So before you two go fighting, make sure you didn't misunderstand each other. ^_^
December 7, 201312 yr If PMDG would promote their planes in this FSX forum, I think Tom would say the same. So before you two go fighting, make sure you didn't misunderstand each other. I think it was pretty clear who I was referring to Jeroen. After all, it was in the context of his accusation to begin with that specifically referred to the PMDG forums.
December 7, 201312 yr Sorry I did actually misunderstand what you meant Tom, until Jeroen pointed it out. Perhaps an admin could move this thread to the relevant Hifi forum then in that case, so as to not bend your rules. Cheers, Andy.
December 7, 201312 yr Have you seen this topic? http://www.simforums.com/Forums/how-will-you-compete_topic47935.html]http://www.simforums...topic47935.html (I'm a lover and future customer of ASN) What do you think? I think ASN is a beast... Enviado desde mi iPhone 5S con Tapatalk José Fco. Perhaps an admin could move this thread to the relevant Hifi forum then in that case, so as to not bend your rules. No rules have been "bent" Andy as regards the images. There was an information gap that I was suffering from, but that was dealt with. And, Damien could very well have posted all the pre-release information that he wanted to in his own forums here and I am sure he knows that.
December 8, 201312 yr Commercial Member Thanks everyone for keeping things civil and respectful, and following AVSIM's TOS... and thank you Tom for AVSIM and all you have done for this community. I think we have all just been trying to answer questions and discuss ASN relevant to the OP. As Tom mentioned there are other resources for obtaining ASN information including the unofficial HiFi forum here at AVSIM and the HiFi community forums from our site. We've been posting plenty of information all around and trying to answer the many questions out there. Our beta testers have indeed been cleared to discuss ASN and share media, so you are seeing some of that here. Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies

December 9, 201312 yr Just tested it for an hour and boy, there is a new weatherking i town:-D I tried some zero visability conditions using the visabilty search, and its absolutly stunning. The P3D volumetric fog isn't even close to this good! The cloud turbulance is great and finally, popping out of low clouds/fog is how its supposed to be! I was lined up at ENBL ready for take-off, and the fog was actually shifting smoothly right in front of me, from just barely seeing the runway, to then see perhaps 20-30 feet, and than a few seconds later, it was back to just barely seeing the runway again. Taking off, I looked back and the airport stayed in the fog, it did not appear when ascending like it used to using any other WX-engines. I don't need need 7 days, this is an instabuy! December 9, 201312 yr Taking off, I looked back and the airport stayed in the fog, it did not appear when ascending like it used to using any other WX-engines. This simple sentence prompted my purchase. Thanks for testing it out!
December 19, 201312 yr Blinkin awesome in my book and I have been simming seriously since fs3 It gives a very different experience than previous programmes....one neat result is that clouds appear very dark when underneath them as in real life and passing through cloud and layers is smooth an realistic. Oddly you can actually see the clouds clearer and they have a thicker and realistic texture. Thats my view so far. Bruce
