December 15, 201312 yr If you really like GA... you should also consider adding a Reality XP GNS unit to the cockpit for navigation. The GNS430W fits in both the A2A C172 and RealAir Legacy, so that would be a good choice.. Bert
December 15, 201312 yr As does the 530W (RXP highly recommended)... December 15, 201312 yr Commercial Member Quite a bit of variety in the GA suggestions being offered up here! Although you can most definitely role-play being the richest of the rich, and therefore anything is fair game as GA, I tend to prefer for this use planes which I could realistically see more regular private ownership (individual or partnership); the type of stuff I myself could imagine flying if I either lived in bush country, or casually flew friends and family on little sight seeing jaunts or slightly longer trips. So on my GA list in no particular order (each has a particular & slightly different role): A2A C172 A2A Cub Carenado F33A Carenado C185F Regular & Bush RealAir Lancair Legacy Milviz B-55 These are mainly the ones I fly when I'm in a GA mindset. I do enjoy the C337, but I mostly fly it as if I were a commercial operator, along with larger twins like the Twin Otter Extended and the Flight1 B200. But of course, the great thing about about flying a simulator is you can do whatever you want!! It's also worth noting that for a few some of the older Carenado offerings, there are patches available that improve the FDE. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
December 16, 201312 yr Two more I wanted to add that are good is the baytower rv-7 and milviz b-55 Mike Avallone [email protected],Corsair H115i cooler,ASUS 2080TI,GSkill 32GB pc3600 ram, 2 WD black NVME ssd drives, ASUS maximus hero MB

December 16, 201312 yr I actually do not think that the Ceranado planes all fly the same. I have to disagree, Oldar. I just purchased the TBM850 and for the life of me, it's hard to distinguish the flight model from their B200. Kind of disappointing. I do like flying the 337 much more as it does seem to have a better FDE. Certainly a unique little beastie. I echo the sentiments of everybody mentioning Milviz, RealAir, A2A. The Flight1 B200 and Mustang were fantastic, but are a no-op in P3D 1.4. Once you start logging time in the RealAir Legacy you will really come to see a really good flying aircraft. December 16, 201312 yr I've seen people run the RA planes in P3D... December 17, 201312 yr Hm after a couple of trial flights I'm completely disenchanted with the Carenado T182 HD - some cockpit switch sounds missing, VC visual quality good but not to the standards of A2A, the Aerosoft Twotter or the Duke B60v2, and the G1000 implementation is lacking. Will try to get a refund and get the Flight1 182 instead - that one looks as if it might be one of the five top-of-the-line GA planes...
December 17, 201312 yr Carenado has no DRM or activation system on most of their addons and support all platforms. Because of that they are the only brand of aircraft addons I currently buy. I own 20+ Carenado aircraft and visually they are mostly above average in quality. As for realism they are not up there with Milviz, RealAir and A2A, but mostly good enough. Too bad though that they don't go the extra mile, but from a busniess standpoint I guess they are fully aware of Pareto distribution (getting an aircraft 80% realistic takes 20% effort, but getting the last 20% of realism in place, takes 80% more effort). December 17, 201312 yr I make a case for the A2A Piper Cub! My recent flight thru some of the back country of Idaho. http://deskpilot518.blogspot.com/2013/12/backcountry-flying-through-idaho-s78-to.html The Cub is just a different type of flying! It's all about the stick, rudder, coordinated turns, and sucking up the view below you! Very relaxing, but you will find the Cub can also be difficult to fly sometimes too! Also, the float version is the best float plane I have used so far in FSX! Simply amazing. B. December 17, 201312 yr I will also give two thumbs up for the Milviz B-55 and the Realair Duke!... I have my eyes on the A2A C72, but too high priced for me right now.. I grabbed a couple of Carenado planes during this recent Xmas sale, but I definitely am not as impressed as with the Milviz and RealAir!
December 17, 201312 yr Just bought my first RealAir product- the Realair Turbine Duke v2 and it is really incredible I think. Hard to beat the performance of this bird. It was on sale, not sure if it is still or not. Kudos to the RA team. Eric Tomlin Flight Line Simulations www.FlightLineSimulations.com
December 17, 201312 yr The Turbine Duke v2 is out already? Nah, they are still working on that as far as I know...?
December 17, 201312 yr You should get the Legacy...
