February 18, 201412 yr It looks nice in the shots. (As usual). I'm tempted but I think I'll hold off.... and maybe get it when they do a socal area... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
February 18, 201412 yr and maybe get it when they do a socal area... Dunno Ryan - SoCal may be some time in coming if ever, as it's not in any pipeline right now. Like SAK, this was an instant buy for me. DL'ing as I type, with respectable, if not spectacular, download speeds for a first day release. Scott
February 18, 201412 yr It does look great - I really like the different terrain tiles and the custom dam scenery (I think there's about ten custom ones according to their forums). I'm the excuse master tonight so maybe when Pilot Edge re-opens norcal area I'll do it. At the moment you can fly out of SFO but that's mainly for the tube liner guys.... I do admit this area would be fun for exploration... except my time for fsx keeps dwindling.... And can someone tell me the installed file size? Looks like 3.5GB for download... I've only got 20GB left on my SSD (that's another reason why I'm hesitant - but a new one is in the works). | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

February 18, 201412 yr This is definate must have for me. As a native NorCal resident I recognize the location of every marketing screen shot and have been IRL to most of them. Fortunately for me this comes on the heels of getting MSE Utah and suddenly a GEX CA looks quite bland (though I still can't handle the steam rollered effect of urban photo scenery). Bravo FTX! February 18, 201412 yr About a year ago, I would have purchased this from the get go, but a lot has changed since then. So I am keen to see some shots from those who have bought it to convince me it is worth the US $40.. I mean, I have FTX Global, so how much extra will this bring to the table, say, than waiting for FTX Vector??
February 18, 201412 yr Just buy guys, Orbx regions are the way to go, they are unbeatable, no other sceneries come close, in my opinion, Orbx Vector will improve once ver 1.1 comes out at weekend for the rest of the world, if used with Orbx Global. Mal Walsh

I mean, I have FTX Global, so how much extra will this bring to the table, say, than waiting for FTX Vector?? I prefer the regions for VFR flying. FTXG is just textures & 3d lighting. You need to add LC, mesh, vectors, and photo scenery to get close to a region. NCA region airports have improved and the textures are simply outstanding! NCA brought me back to the days when I only used FU III. I loved it! NCA is now my favorite ORBX region. Check out the FTX community screenshots. MSFS
