FSX Fiber Accelerator?

Featured Replies

Tom I suggest you open a support ticket from within the App if you want one on one help from the developer.

Cheers, Andy.

I think following all the answers here are more with problems. How do you set VERTICAL SYNC, do you use Ryans and or Kostas setup, do you use NVI with FA. You do not think a clear statment from the devs could be helpfull for the customers. We are not all DIGITAL NATIVES - there are a lot IMMIGRANTS around :-) yes it is still a game and although all my questions I still see it like this...

And it seems a huge difference which plane I choose. The PMDG NGX is more frame hungry as the majestic Dash8. Now I see the situation that I discovered and tried out on various airports with the Dah that 22 as the lower value is the right thing to have still some Terrain Cpu power. Now in the NGX the frames went back to 22 but the terrain cpu power is still in the dark green fully right. But the cockpit of the NGX eat it all. Actually I have to move the lower fps slider to the right to gain at least 25fps but in this case it has nothing or let us say minor to do with the terrain but with the VC of the NGX. Would be a preset cool?

Kind Regards Tom

Not to throw fuel on any fire, but I have to agree with Soundrats ,that I had the Demo it worked well bought the product because I liked it, and it just did not work as well as the Demo.

But as all systems are personal to us it could be just me..but interesting to see another person with the same issue.

So for the time being I have uninstalled.. And will see what happens...

Still I support the concept anything that helps the old Sim!

All the best

I gave it a second try and installed FA again. EDDS rw 07 without FA in real opus weather rain 30fps limited in FSX I got 30fps. Opening FA with the lower limit of 22fps and the 30fps limiter of FSX the frames went down to 22 my lower target. I closed FA frames went up to 27 but not back to 30fps. Please developper tell me what is going on. It should deliver the 30frames if my setup allows this and only start to interfere if I go down to the lower level...??? Whats wrong?

I am just waiting that expert give me an answer before I am going to reinstall it as I did before.

Kind Regards Tom

It is the same problem I've been reporting from the first page of this forum.

Airports usually work at 30FPS (No FA), when I enable FA, will come to the minimum limits of FA (Example: 20FPS)

Someone else have this symptom?

Yes same issue and very bad stuttering hence un installed for now? 30 without and lowest fps with FA .

Cheers

I finally found something I don't like. It seems to remove road traffic, which I always liked when buzzing low and slow. Has anyone else noticed this? I apologize if

OK - I'll try to put it more simply - as I still haven't had a sensible answer. Please read carefully:

I am not talking about changes to fsx.cfg - they are easily rectified (from a backup or whatever).

I am asking about OTHER, possibly obscure changes to either FSX or the system - via the registry or other location.

To get the record straight: I've installed and run the demo and find no real problem with it. It seems to work "as advertised" and I will probably buy it.

I simply want to be reassured that my FSX/DX10 setup that took months to get "just right" isn't going to end up being screwed in any way when I come de-install FA.

Isn't that a perfectly reasonable thing to ask?

Adam (apologies for the bold).

Adam, I myself have installed and uninstalled Fiber FA several times and have not noticed anything weird after uninstalling.

My FSX is totally DX10.

Hello, guys

Does anyone had the CTD "Failed to read the file" by any chance?

After couple of months without flying I heard about this nice tool and in my second test, when I was trying to do a full flight. I had this CTD on takeoff.

I had a very big installation and I never had any problem with everything I had installed. Also this is the first time I had this CTD.

The only things I installed recently was this tool and the friction "fix" in FSUIPC.

Thanks

FSPS I think like many other DEV, deserve all the credit in the world for trying to do our old FSX better. Most of us in this forum want this game like a baby and kermes this better every day.
We have many years to read, edit and test thousands of things that are on the internet. Some good some not.

The FA program says to do something really amazing that we have waited for many years. This is why this thread will grow and grow with orders, compliments, complaints, etc, etc..

I think its very logical that in version 1.1.0.0 have problems. But I sure want FSPS correct and make this program a great revolution.
What we have to do is simply share the mistakes we face and take the DEV and analyze these errors and try to correct. So the big things (trial and error) are formed. But to get to a happy ending, we both users (customers) and the DEV, we have to have patience and a good relationship.

I buy FA and I also have problems that are said here, but we need a more important part of the interaction of DEV (FSPS)

You just need :

Microsoft .net 3.5 SP1 (Exactly that, not 3 not 4)

Could this possibly change in the future I have 3-4 apps related to FSX that I use when I fly but they will not open now because I removed .NET v4.5 to run the Fibre Accellerator.

I bought it already Yangs found myself in a kind of beta tester position. This is not new for a brand new app. Only the communication with the devs must work.

Kind Regards Tom

umm....I am running FA fine with great results with just .NET 4.5.1 installed.

My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet

Working on MSFS 2024 versions.

Are you sure? It specifically states v3.5 with SP1 only.

Yikes, you do not need to remove .NET4.5.  Reinstall it.  Someone earlier posted about this, you can have multiple versions on your system, which I have, there are not issues.

Yes.  And I believe the new installer takes care of the "missing" .NET files so you don't have to install that specific version any more.
