Virtual Cdu

Featured Replies

I encountered two issues with the app on my last flight: 1. plugging the iPad into a power source disconnects the app from fsx. 2. Pressing the Fix button makes the app crash.

I wonder whether anyone else is experiencing these.

If I recall correctly it didn't light up in the 737 CDU for me either. It's just a minor niggle but it's interesting that not everybody is affected.

As you said, not really what I wan't but still the best alternative.

Lights up for me also.

It lights up bright white here and the left DSPL light is red instead of yellow.

Best regards,

Open your 777X_Options.ini which is located in FSX\PMDG\PMDG777X and add this line in the end:

[sDK]

EnableDataBroadcast=1

Thanks Robert! Of course, it's also mentioned on the developers support page if you only have eyes to see with...

I believe you can even have three ipads connected - Captains, center and FO. Unfortunately this app demands iOS 6 which I can't be installed on my first generation iPad so I couldn't try it out, but at least I had the Captains and the center CDU running simultaneously on my iPad gen3 and iPad mini.

The 737 CDU app doesn't need iOS 6 so that I can run on my old iPad. It's a pity really because it runs absolutely flawlessly on that "old" hardware.

I've had the same issue for the app crash when selecting the FIX page. However, at the next flight (next day, so I restarted the PC and TAB etc.) it did not occur again; currently it is no porlblem to select FIX.

Thanks, Markus. I'll give it another try on my next flight.

Everyone beat me to it.  You must make sure you insert your IP address into the app.  Then it's GOLD GOLD GOLD!!!!

I asked the developer why iOS-versions below 6 isn't supported and got this answer:

Hi Captain,

What happens is that for iOS 5.1 there are some system limitations that will have impact on the usability and consequently it generates large amounts of user complaints.

That's why we are not enabling it for iOS 5.1 devices.

Hope you understand our concern here.

Thanks for your attention and best regards,

It's a pity since it worked for me but I can understand them.

My £67 tablet from Ebay has arrived.

It's awesome for this app. Not the best tablet going but for the price I now have a functioning FMC for £80. Bargain!

Im another one who has just ordered a 9 inch Android through Alibaba.com. $70 and it can always be used as a portable travel tablet, try doing that with CDU  hardware!

Should be immediate.

Got it today and it's terrific. Using it on a 7 inch Nexus 7.

Good Morning

I can't seem to get them (virtual avionics) to register me, even though I have already bought the product. Since I can't register I'm unable to get the VA Interface. How long does it take to get site access?
