Kyle, Appreciate it's a sim site. My initial reply was a cheeky dig at Julian for having a pop at the awesome 200 although he was obviously talking in the context of Topcat. Dan then replied stating the obvious. Apologies if anyone got the wrong idea. Back on topic though it's a shame the 300 wasn't included.

I would agree. Moving the VC isnt ideal. I think if you want a good multi monitor setup you need other hardware. I use a monitor for the outside world (soon to be 3) Then 2 monitors for instruments. I have a MCP, FMS on Tablet and CH Product fight controls. If you use something like the PMDG777 you dont need the vc. I use snap views for the overhead. It takes a bit of setting up but using software such as FSUIPC, LINDA, FS2crew you can get a great setup going. On a networked pc with another monitor i have pro atc x, ASN, PFPX and navigraph. Its like having an EFB. On P3d with the Pmdg777 i get 50fps and its smooth most of the time. I run a i7 4790k with a GTX970 and GTX760. I made a cockpit to house the monitors from MDF. Painted it like the 777. Looks pretty good. Good luck with it. Its what makes our hobby so good.

Ah see that's what you get for not reading the documentation. Thanks for pointing that out Mark i didn't realise they had incorporated that function. The issue with Aerosoft is that there are no 2d panels. I use a multi monitor setup. Looking forward to the p3d release.

FSLABS? Cmon Mark you can do it. It's looking like a great addon with P3d coming soon. Without your software its simply a no go. So the future of flight simming is in your hands !

Try removing some of the road options. I found this helped.

I remember growing up in the 70's and 80's flying to the states on TWA 747 then transferring to a 727 for internal flights. How about a PMDG quality 727 with FS2crew lending a hand. Now that would be cool ! But I agree with Dave. Vintage or modern as long as it's PMDG it will never be boring.

I'm not sure a 767 would be much more interesting. They have done updated 2 and 4 engines. Maybe time for an updated 3 engine. The MD11 updated to latest specs would be good. Or perhaps a PMDG regional. Either way I think we have a good while to wait. The 747 will keep us all busy for some time I think.

Hi Andreas, Not sure where you are in the world but here in the uk i have previously purchased second hand pc's for £100 or so. Network them together, install EFB across the network and away you go. You can also run ASN and Pro Atc x across a network..

That's great Kalle although i can't take the credit. That goes to Rob Ainscough and Steve Waite for all their hard work and expertise. It's an example of how great our hobby is though that there are so many trying to improve it. Try the new PTA tool which is free and made by another fantastic member of our community (sorry cant recall who it is). It has transformed my whole sim. Flying the 777 at night with ASN, PTA, and Night Environment. It's awesome!

Jose, With a 60hz monitor the only way to achieve smooth flight is to setup p3d so that it always maintains 60fps. Do this by changing graphic sliders in p3d. Once 60fps is achieved turn on vsync and triple buffering in p3d. You should now find it smoother. Find the AM for your cpu and set that also. Not sure what it is for your cpu.

Adaptive 1/2 Vsync does not function with p3d. You either need a monitor that has 30hz refresh then set vsync to on in p3d. Then maintain 30fps. Or if you have a 60hz monitor you have to maintain 60fps. Frame rate in P3d unlimited. For ur cpu im not sure what AM you need. 85 or 116 i was using for my i7 4790k. There is a whole thread dedicated to AM settings. Have a search and you should find it.

I assign a button on my yoke to the AP soft disconnect. 2 clicks is normal. 1 to disconnect and 1 to silence the audible warning. There are options in the FMC to change it.

Yeah they are fine. I think its Corinna Meyer that i use and they install very easily through the OC. Alex Farmer also does good repaints.

Interesting result Jose, I run a i7 4790 at 4.4ghz with a gtx970. I get the same FPS with the NGX and 777. I also had stutters. I found the only way to get over these was to run my TV / Monitor at 50hz refresh then set vsync on in p3d unlimited frame rate. I also use nvidia inspector to run SGSS x 4. As long as i keep frames near 50 i get smooth flight. Oh and i also have Affinity Mask set to 116 for my cpu. I think this shows p3d much like fsx is more dependant on cpu rather than graphics card. So Bob i'd prob say get a 9 series card. Prob going cheaper now the new cards are out and perhaps look at an upgrade to the cpu. Jose check out Rob Ainscough website. He has some great info for settings etc.

I'm gonna upgrade from V3.2. Now i know i need to update the client but do i also need to update the content. I seem to remember the last time i upgraded from 3.1 i had to update the content to get gsx etc working.

Mmm problem is most ppl have no issues with the op centre. Unlikely to agree to this due to 1 request. What problems are you having with liveries? Oh and the 747 is V3 !

Scenery library insertion points? Might be worth checking where ORBX is in the scenery library.

I think Andrew was saying he has just moved from FSX to P3d and therefore only has 3.3 available to him. Andrew, have to wait for the hotfix unfortunately. Worth the wait though. I wouldn't go back to FSX even with all the trials and tribulations of P3d. But as Greg and Bob state make sure you keep backups for all of your P3d software.

With the release of P3d V3.3 some airport addons do not work. Does anyone have airports that DO work? I have UK2000, fsdf, flightbeam, taxi2gate, aerosoft and flytampa. Gary at UK2000 seems to be the only one commenting on the problem and promising to update his products. Can't find much at fsdt, flighbeam or aerosoft and flytampa seem to be hiding behind LM announcement of a hotfix stating it will be difficult for them to fix. If there are P3d V3.3 compatible airports are there performance benefits? Just trying to think about future purchases such as KMEM, EDDM etc.

Yep i use 3. 1 for the outside world which is a HD TV. Then 2 monitors for the PFD, ND's etc. All driven from a 970 and i still get 40FPS. Get yourself a 10" tab for the FMC and away you go.

Does anyone have any good news regarding this latest version? From what i can see there is no benefit whatsoever to upgrading. I appreciate LM only need to update their product but come on who runs a complete vanilla version of any sim. I'm sure when beta testing they could at least try testing with some of the usual addons, ASN, EZDOK, some sceneries.
