SimLauncherX - The freeware tool everyone has been waiting for!

Recommended Posts

It's now out: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=187387

After many months of beta testing, bug-fixes and new features constantly being added, the awesome Maarten Boelens has released the new version of his freeware tool - SimLauncherX.

This a complete game changer. No more default FSX/P3D2 interfaces!

Just two cool features that pop to mind:

- Automatically add Ezdok entries to your aircraft (lens flare enabled!). No more Estonia migration tool or Ezca CFG tool.

- C&D ANY aircraft. Never again will you start a flight with your engine running...

The list of features is LONG so just grab your copy asap and check it out! :)

Short glance through the manual. I am speechless.

133 page manual . I wonder how similar it is to Simstarter which is also a great App.

Time to hit the manual

Well, I'm the one who wasn't waiting for it.

But I was curious and installed it. Nicely done tool but I still couldn't see any need for me to use it. Crashed after P3D v2.4 was started but this may be because of my Windows 10 technical preview. So I decided to uninstall it.

Anyway it's great that somebody is doing such a nice freeware tool, thanks.

Unfortunately mine has also crashed  and a message popped up to send the error log to the devs email which I did .

Just awesome.

The manual is a must read though (I assumed for example, I could just go ahead and use UNC's to map my server folder locations, but you have to use mapped drive letters).

Still reading through everything, as I have a play.

Thanks Maarten, this is payware quality. Expect a token or two of gratitude :)

This utility has allot of great parts, I think my favorite is the nice instruments view... Now I can have those instruments displayed on a separate display, something I've been seeking to incorporate . Done.

And the app layout is totally intuitive and yet deep....Lots to explore. This can very well be a suitable launcher for these Sims. Very cool.

A warm thanks to Maartens for his awesome work.

It's such a handy application, I will never use FSC again!

Very very smart tool, I'm just discovering all its potential.

Brillant!

I downloaded this and played around with it a little last night and all I can say is WOW...this app is feature rich and I am going to have to get into the manual to fully get a grasp on all it can do.  With all of the payware in our community I am amazed that this app is donationware.
