July 26, 201510 yr i thought i already gave hits at what's causing the trouble: You made 3 posts - the only thing you told is "it's inacceptable", "it doesn't work as i want it", "it makes AI worse" - maybe you could give some hint's on the situations that are causig you trouble so it may be possible to sort it out. Obviously there are some people who are able to use AIController fairly well. besides that I find your tone and attitide not very nice - especially as this is a FREE software and the programmer is very supportive sorting out problems +1 Man, Roland does a great job here and obviously no one before succeeded to override the boring default AI as he does! +2 Your tone simsuper80 is what rather unacceptable in context of this thread. This AI control program works amazingly well here in its betta state, provided you've followed the readme, videos and the discussion, much better than the default one in every aspect. I'm not sure what causing your troubles. And I run AIC/AIM on the client PC, not the simpliest set up. Dirk.

Dirk. all i am doing is saying how my experience from trying this program for the first time went. i am just being honest and truthful, if you cant handle the fact that i had problems using the default settings then that's fine. but i wish i could hear from anyone who has used AI controller successfully and to good use. and what they managed to do to accomplish that. i'l probably try testing it again in a few days. July 27, 201510 yr I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY USED AIC AND TO GOOD USE AND WHAT I DID IS USE THE DEFAULT SETTINGS. THERE ARE MANY MORE USERS WHO HAVE USED AI CONTROLLER SUCCESSFULLY AND TO GOOD USE BY USING THE DEFAULT SETTINGS. If you don't like what AIC is doing, please uninstall this great freeware program and let your default FSX ATC control all your traffic!

THERE ARE MANY MORE USERS WHO HAVE USED AI CONTROLLER SUCCESSFULLY AND TO GOOD USE BY USING THE DEFAULT SETTINGS. If you don't like what AIC is doing, please uninstall this great freeware program and let your default FSX ATC control all your traffic! calm down and use lower case  I also have in general good results using default setting - there are some airports where the is some strang behaviour in taxiing but it's getting better with nearly every hotfix. I had some very strange fast movements faulted by myself by being to near to ai traffic with me (slewed) own AC (they tried to evade me) - also using the "follow me" option of TrafficViewboard messes up the AI. As for incursions - the main problem here seems to be that outgoing taxi traffic is controled by FSX in ancomming is (in some slewing mode) by aiController - s it looks like they are not able to see each other. I'm quite confident Roland will get hands on this in his next version controlling in and out traffic. This is a WiP and it looks as if it is a project where user input is taken very seriously - but as FSX is such a compley animal a programmer needs detailed input of where what happens to track down an error. I'm looking forward to the next evolution! Happy landings Juergen
July 29, 201510 yr First I apologize for not having read this thread from first to last page, but all I need to know is... When installed with default settings, will it be able to separate the ai so I don't get a lot of go arounds, and second (not so important), do they always follow the SId and Stars? Regards Joern Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. July 29, 201510 yr Yes, things should to both questions. For the second, you will need the Navigraph data with it processed properly.
July 29, 201510 yr Ok Thanks. I assume the navdata doesn't need to be the latest one, as long as I use the same (1503) in all my addons? July 29, 201510 yr Ok Thanks. I assume the navdata doesn't need to be the latest one, as long as I use the same (1503) in all my addons? Correct. You only need the installed PMDG Navdata, a decompiler for AIC is part of the AIC download.
July 30, 201510 yr Hey Roland, in general AIC and AIM are working very well but occasionally there are some problems. 1. AI monitor occasionally "freezes" which results in the AI monitor windowed becomes greyed out.: http://i.imgur.com/4MYUTQi.png Obviously this is easily "fixed" by closing and the re-starting AI monitor. 2. occasionally star selection based upon runway is use is not working. For example I am currently at Nairobi airport (HKJK) where runway 6 were in use due to north-easterly winds (~63 degrees and about 8 knots). Despite that an arriving Virgin flight from the north used a star for rwy 24. Then close to the airport it recognizes that rwy 24 is the wrong runway and heads out to intercept a STAR for runway 6. That said it does not change the fact that this is great addon for FSX and the other sims that it supports so thank you very much for your good work. Quick question... Is this just for US Airports ? No. it can be used for any airport in the world that have SID and or STAR.procedures. I have it enabled for every SID/STAR airport in about 100 countries all over the world which likely is over 1000 airports.
July 30, 201510 yr Hi, first, this is a great add-on, works great for UT2 ai traffic. The only issue I'm having is on the ground. Is there a way to set that ai passes from AIController to FSX control the instant ai lands? ai does strange things before they properly get to the gate. Thanks a lot for your work Clipper SN737
July 30, 201510 yr Hi Roland (and everyone else), I just saw you are near to releasing taxi-out control as well. If this is the case, people should be getting excited. Could you hypothetically then work with a 3rd party ATC program to have said program "vocalize" what AIController is doing on the ground and in the air? The fact that ATC programs like RC4 can't really "control" AI is one of the main reasons those programs aren't as immersive as they could be. David Ayoub
August 1, 201510 yr Just for info the LFMQ issue previously reported should be resolved when using Navigraph data. It was a result of undefined waypoints in the procedure file.
August 10, 201510 yr After release of the FAIB 744 I experience the same problems like with the FAIB 748. :( In NON-ENHANCED mode the FAIB jumbos will not land into the airport, they're being stuck in landing or taxi-in modus and climbing into the space with landing gear deployed. There also was a service pack of the 748, I changed the aircraft.cfg and reinstalled all the texture and effect files. But it seems it does not help. Has anyone the same problems? What can I do? The jumbos are doing fine in enhanced modus but in exchange I have other issues. brgds, Ron Flying P3Dv5 with PMDG 737 NGXu, 747v3, 777; QW 787; Orbx; Chaseplane, AI Lights Reborn Pro, Lots of AI, AIController Visit www.airlinesim.aero
