You should get your activation email within a couple of minutes automatically and a reminder within a week. No manual processing is done.

There are some email-providers like e.g. q.com / btinternet.com that will not accept emails from the forum, and you will never get your activation email. In this case just use the contact form of the fourm and I'll manually activate your account.

My usual 'online' email account is good old .msn account. They work?

Just checked my spam folder too and there's nothing in there

Just an updated version of my ORBX P3Dv3 matrix - items crossed out in RED are already P3Dv3 compliant.

ORBX North California and Flightbeam KSFO brought my system down to its knees, unfortunately (16-20 FPS) - i7 4770 K 4.5 ghz and GTX 970

Generally speaking, a  high density Orbx area AND a high detailed airport is going to do that.  I always use Orbx Global with a highly detailed airport.

Exactly. Flying in and out of major hubs usually means you are flying big iron (small GA planes don't fly in and out of major airports in real-life anyway). And what sense does it make to use an FTX region when flying the big stuff? Once you have cleaned up the aircraft after takeoff, you don't see much of the ground anyways. And on landing you should be concentrating on other things than sight-seeing...

Yes, I am fully aware, it's just fun to see what performance one might achieve. Admit it, if you were able to sustain an acceptable FPS coupled with reasonable VAS usage, who wouldn't use large heavy regions with major hub airports.

Understand your point, but even if it were possible to use both, I would prefer to improve performance by de-activating the FTX region just to get a smoother flight. Getting stutters on approach really sucks. So why stress it?

Just for the record i can manage with same setup i7-4770K@4,6 GTX970 around 24-30fps in the PMDG777 during takeoff and sourrounding the area at the bay. (with Flightbeam KSFO as well)

There is a manage controlpanel for the FTX NCA inside the ORBX central 2 where some FPS hogs can be disabled.

VAS with LOD6,5 HD2048 and Dense Autogen and everything else maxed out on that upper Graphic page is around 3,5-3,6GB but i doubt i can use longhauls with that.

The above is just for comparing. (AI traffic MT6 at 20% roads at 5%)

Try that with no road Traffic, Its hard to think of a placer much worse than KLAX for the amount of roads. Unless GA I always have road traffic off. It would be ever more noticeable as you take off over all them roads. In a NG 777 you really dont need that drain on cpu for the gain. IMO OFC :)

Ok, haven't had a look at the control panel. What settings do you suggest to deactivate? Also running LOD 6,5, dense autogen and textures 2048 for the record.

Interesting ... road traffic, ship traffic, boat traffic doesn't seem to have any affect on my setup (typically run all three at 25%).  However AI Traffic (MT6) does have significant impact ... if I ever encounter stutters, the solution to removing them is almost always turn off all AI Traffic.  I run AI Traffic at 5% GA and 10% commercial normally and still get A LOT of traffic (I don't use the Traffic limiter as I like to see enroute traffic for my longer flights using airways).

Autogen and LOD settings also seem to have zero impact on FPS.

In V3 the three major sources of stutters and FPS hits for me are:

1.  Terrain Shadows enabled (10,000m or 80,000m produce the same hit in FPS - about 25-30% lower)

2.  AI Traffic (with MT6) - anything above 10% (induces stutters but avg FPS is still good)

3.  Water = Ultra (definitely causes issues if I use SLI, but even with single GPU it can cause wild fluctuations in FPS ... almost certain this is CUDA library issue, LM needs to update version used)

SimObject Cast/recieve can also sometimes have a minor impact, depends on location.

Cheers, Rob.

Interesting read Rob,

I also have found MT6@5% is the sweet spot and stopped using manager.

Cannot say Ive even tried auto gen at max is that with tress at max as well? do you put that down ro P3d or your Titans Rob?

Cheers

Dave.
