January 25, 201610 yr +1 for an updated Spit. I'd go in on an updated Citabria, too. Truly enjoying the Legacy v2 - great work! Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
January 25, 201610 yr Hi Bert, thank you very much for your answer. I tried several approaches on Tampa R01L but it didn´t work. Now i was able to find the reason for that issue. Checked the F1 Forum regarding the LPV (GS) error and after reading i recognized that my version of the GTN (1.03) was outdated. Then updated to 1.13 and everything works fine - GS indicator coming up and the autopilot function works like a charme. best regards EDHE Happy to hear it! Bert
January 25, 201610 yr I've been focused elsewhere for a while so I wasn't aware this release was happening. Fair price indeed. I'll pay the premium for RealAir and A2A any day of the week. Looks great guys, thanks. Will get this (and an updated installer for the Duke) once I get my P3D v3 installed this weekend. Cheers. Aaron Thacker
January 26, 201610 yr So i got the upgrade for both the T Duke and Legacy and as per the installer instructions, I have installed into a location outside of the main P3D folder. This has produced a situation where there is now an effects folder and a simobjects folder outside of the P3D directory. Is this how its supposed to work? January 26, 201610 yr Rob I have all your great aircraft and having fun flying the v2 Lancair. Great work. I also would purchase an update (P3DV3) Spit as well. Regards Lamar Wright
January 26, 201610 yr Yes you can Ted. You can run the installer twice, using the same keycode, and taking the option for either P3d2 or P3d3.1 Thanks Rob, will be picking this up shortly. V1 is one of my favorite GA planes. Really looking forward to V2. January 26, 201610 yr ... This has produced a situation where there is now an effects folder and a simobjects folder outside of the P3D directory. Is this how its supposed to work? Yes. Check effects.cfg and it will show the non-default entry for the RealAir effects folder. The simobjects.cfg should be correctly modified also.
January 26, 201610 yr Bought the Turbine Duke a couple of days ago. It's my first RealAir purchase. Boy, have I been missing out! Mark

January 27, 201610 yr WOW!!! Found (well, made...) some time to purchase the update and give it a (very short) try and boy, I forgot how great this plane was! And how utterly awesome the view out of the cockpit is! What a freedom! I am sooooo happy to have this plane available again! This will be my default plane for quite some time now! It was however a bit odd not being able to secure the plane and 'leave the cockpit' as I have been doing for 'ages' with my A2A GA's... I didn't have the time to check it but I do hope my cockpit settings are saved with the P3D-savegame...? I like my plane to be REALLY cold and dark (as I want it) when I get back to it. As I said, it is odd to save the flight with the plane parked but not secured and the pilot still in it LOL But well, you can't have everything. Not being able to do a walk around saves time too... I even had to figure out how to add fuel to the plane: been using A2A planes for so long that I totally forgot how it all works in P3D LOL O, one little thing: I found the VC reflections on the window a bit too much: specially right in front of you it sometimes seemed to block the view somehow... might be HDR and bloom related maybe. And it also seemed the reflection showed a white panel while my panel is black...? But well, not a big problem: I disabled the reflection. The grind (if that is the right word) on the window and the gauge reflections etc. are awesome. O, and so is the sound!!! Great sounds!!! I heard some very low rumbling and thumping during the flight and the sounds really helped to make me give the impression I was actually in a plane. Man, do I love the Legacy... EDIT It was btw nice to have a set and forget AP again after having used the A2A ones where you have to do a lot manually: that IS nice and fun but being able to let the plane fly to and intercept a specific altitude is great too. And of course the speed of this plane is great too! I can do a lot longer flights now without 'losing' time!
January 27, 201610 yr I hate HDR - even with the sliders it wrecks the look of any highlights (canopy glass/reflections). So I disable it. That's probably why. There is some reflection as you look ahead but it's never bothered me. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

I see the sliders do give a bit more control but HDR to me looks entirely artificial and grossly messes up things like backlighting and indeed reflections. January 27, 201610 yr Yes, I suppose it is HDR indeed but I do like the effect (with low and subtype settings though). I will however see how things look without it! I do notice it doesn't play nice with the lighting on the panel which becomes too light grey when you bend forward with TrackIR, due to the bloom. Just did my first high flight at 30.000 feet. Odd experience. It felt and looked and specially sounded like I was going way too slow, the engine almost made no sound and I almost expected a stall but after figuring out how to use the TAS calculator I found out I was flying at full speed. Big fun. Of course I also tested the oxygen and turned if off at 30.000 feet. LOL That was nice. Great all rounder for low and slow but also high and dry! Took me over half an hour to reach 30.000 feet though. And I had forgotten that this plane can fly an ILS! Nice after flying A2A GA for 'years'! The AP is very exact and precise which can't be said of the Comanche and Cherokee AP. Which had its charm,of course. But it is nice to have a fully equipped plane for now. Set and forget: great!
