What is LM up to? Do we get a P3D V3.4? or V4? anything?

Featured Replies

The next version of P4D will support all X-plane 10 and 11 add-ons and be able to dynamically link to the Xplane flight model core DLL. It'll support DTG PBR and all DTG add-ons.

There will be an optional compatibility mode that will run all existing 32bit add-on in a 64bit address space using new virtual method technology (VMT) developed by LM's work with NASA on the Jupiter probe.

Price is $4.99 for "wonder" edition and $7.99 for the "deluxe wonder" edition.

There will also be a "Spock" and "Spock Pro" edition for those able to contain their emotions during ALL stages of flight.

There is also going to be a new SDK to support avatar mode in The Sims world and WoW.

Hope this helps clarify a few things.

Cheers, Rob.

I believe that's scheduled for P5D.

Will it at least be able to trim the crust off my PB&J sandwich? And, cook my eggs over easy with 3 strips of bacon?

(Canadian bacon, of course) NO!!?

That's it! It's time to find a new hobby to support. I'll quit flight simming and take up drinking instead. The tv is always saying how AA is looking for new members.

We are here already - VR does this well.  See Unicorns help out

This new feature is without VR glasses , but you will need the Samsung Holo mini projector series....

Why are you yelling?

I tried X plane on a friends PC and found it pretty second rate compared to P3D. A long list of things that X plane was missing, that I enjoy in P3D.

There's also a long list of things P3D is missing compared to X-Plane. You've just conditioned yourself to live with those.

It depends on what you want in a given flight. If I want to fly GA, I'm probably flying XP10. How the engine handles lighting and scenery looks better to me at low levels. If I want to fly a 737, I'm going to use P3D because it does AI and weather better.

If P3D4 adds global lighting and revamps the autogen distances, it may once again be my only sim.

P6D, in 'Pro' & 'Enterprise' versions, will have 6DoF & will be built in as standard in the LM VR headset that is currently undergoing beta testing, and is expected to be the last version available. (until P7D is released.)  These VR headsets will incorporate 9 channel surround sound, a built-in dual sub woofer, motion feedback as well as 'head-kicker' technology.

The VR Headset comes standard with a 'camelback' water supply pack for those long flights, as well as an eye-blink menu what allows you to order your favourite meals (low fat only) from selected eateries.

It is planned that the headsets, & meals, will be delivered by DHL's drone delivery system.

P6D will be ROM based, thus allowing for an easy upgrade solution should the 128bit version P7D ever be released, & it is expected that this update will be also delivered by DHL's drone delivery system.

The 'Pro' version will be available to all qualifying entities, including non gamers & the 'Enterprise' version will be available to all approved training schools as well as the military. (USA only)

The 'Pro' version of P6D will be updated on Tuesdays, & these updates cannot be deferred. The 'Enterprise' version of P6D will allow any updates to be downloaded at a later stage.

The plug-in ROM will have the whole world scenery onboard, in 8k resolution. It will include Hawaii only, but any other region can be easily unlocked once that region has been purchased. Ann unlock code will be sent automaticaly to the VR headset. The same will apply with aircraft.

For the very first time in Flight Simulation, Augmented Reality will be an integral part of P6D, with some built-in missions being linked to Pokemon GO.

I hope this clarifies any queries you might have.

Robin

Lol  Brilliant

Rob is posting in the forum again...P4D secret squirrel time must be coming to a close

probably the next big change, V4,  is that the Avatars will look like movie stars instead of Zombies.
