They told me that P3DV4 717 version will be in the next update!

It works.  Just put in the disk and run the installer update.  You then select P3D v4 and point to your current install of Ultimate.  Press the next button even though you will think you are installing the entire thing over again and you will get a selction of "Install scenery layers only" instead of "full install" .  Select scenery layers and the installer will update P3D v4 and you are done.  Takes about 2 minutes to do this.

Has anyone tried to install the older Tropical Sim stuff....TAPA & MBPV ?  Are there new installers?

I got that, been pointing the same install of Ultimate into my scenery libraries since FSX, no need for installer update. What concerns me more in the interim, is the fact that Orbx has confirmed not releasing Vector until Pilots releases its 64bit Mesh products because the flattening tools in Vector requires it. I'm not sure if this is more marketing scamming on "we" the consumer,  but when you pay shy of a $100 for mesh and $60 for Vector, but features won't work unless you pay another $80 for "Next Generation" mesh thats not even downloadable in 2017 and will surely prove to be of negligible difference visually. Kind ###### me off. 

In the Doc is says "free upgrade" to v4 for the Real Air Turbine Duke V2.

I know it's compatible already, but a free upgrade from a company that doesn't exist anymore? How is that possible? Please clarify, thanks.

Probably free as in it still works :)

Here's what worked for me by adding scenery to P3Dv4 using the interface (not the developers installer):

Toposim Europe, Asia
SceneryTech Landclass Asia
Pacsim RPLL.
Italy Photoreal (Italy and France tested)

Other:
JF Air Hauler 2 (started a new company, selected P3D and pointed to v4 folder's exe) worked.
Saitek Yoke and Throttle quadrant worked fine.

Here's what didn't work using the developer's installer:
Carenado B1900D and Navajo. Installed ok but the instrument panel textures did not display and the mixture control kept going to mixture off whether using Saitek quadrant or keyboard input.

From WITHIN the sim, add a scenery library for MyTraffic Professional 6.  Add the location that you installed it to ie: C:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic  <--DO NOT add the aircraft folder.

Move the new entry down the line until it is just about the Global Generic & Vehicle Libraries.

Before you exit you sim, make sure you have some traffic turned on!

Browse to C:\Program Data\ Lockheed Martin\P3Dv4 (or whatever  you named it).

Open the Simobjects.cfg

If you have not done anything to this file, your next line will be 10.  Add the following (but replace 10 with the next number in sequence if you have something already added in there):

[Entry.10] 
Title=MyTraffic Vehicles 
Path=C:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic\Aircraft

I forgot to add that you will also need to navigate to <P3D SIM FOLDER>\Scenery\World\Scenery and find a file called trafficAircraft.BGL and change it to .OFF or .OLD so that you dont see any default AI aircraft.  Should look like this trafficAircraft.BGL.OFF

Simple as that!!!!

AirCanada, I am confused by this entry.  Can you help a novice a bit with a little more clarification?  What do you download?  New file format?  Where do you download it from?

Thanks in advance.  This will be very helpful once in know what this entry means.

Lots of scenery so far which is great, but I'd love to see some aircraft hit this list.

Complex aircrafts are heavily hit by this 64bit platform so probably PMDG 747 is the first available.

I think we need more info.  Maybe it works just fine but if you happen to purchase the new 64bit mesh which is slightly more detailed then the mismatch between vector and the mesh is significant to look terrible...I don't know but I do not plan to purchase new mesh.

I am on a roll...after testing most of my US Airports I crossed the pond to Europe and tested a lot of my European scenery: Added/linked them from my P3Dv3 to P3Dv4 scenery.cfg (separate cfgs one for Europe, one for North America).  By the way this method is working flawlessly so far, saves ssd drive space.  Here is the list of Euro scenery that is working flawlessly so far;

All the Justsims

All of the Prealsoft HD Cities

T2G LFPG and FranceVFR-Isle de Paris-averged 35 fps with all settings on high. Never got that in P3Dv3 and the load times are much faster
