What about the fre Scenery Config Editor. Concerning that V4 changed the simulators CFG files to Unicode to support universal character sets in the future.

I know Simstarter is aware of the problem but how is it with SCE? I prefer using SCE.

Any word on Drzewiecki design?

I'm guessing that EZdok won't be working as it installs into the XML file?

Dev will be working on making it compatible with p3d v4 once it's released. He claims it will take some weeks and there is no mention of whether it will be a free upgrade.

I've posted in their forum to see if it will be a free upgrade.

All Flightbeam airports will be made compatible this week. If all goes well, all airports will be ready for v4 release.

Ok. The Flight 1 GTN will work for a (I hope) small update fee. But what about the GNS? I hope also!

Anyone know about the Aerosoft Airbus?

Dan Cole

The a318-21 will be updated likely around June or July according to their forum. They said getting the 330 out first was a priority then releasing the update. But I'll believe that when I see it considering how long they've been working on it.

Aerosoft released the updated P3D v4 installer for the Twin Otter.

Does anyone care to comment on whether Airports HD is a good buy and what is know about it being Updated for V4.

Will there be an update fee charged. I'd am considering buying it before the sale is over!

To answer the question of the day:  yes, we will release versions of the iFly 737NG and the iFly 747-400/ -8i for P3D v4.  But we will not know how much time that will require until we actually have P3D v4 and the associated SDK.  So, at this moment, we cannot say when those iFly aircraft will be released.  When we know what is involved with P3D v4 compatibility, we will give you a general idea of our timeline.  However, as always, we will not announce a date certain until we know the new versions are almost ready for release to our users.

There will be no charge for the P3D v4 64-bit version upgrades of the iFly 737NG and the iFly 747-400/747-8i.  Also, the iFly 747-8i will be released as a Feature Pack for the 747-400 v2 at no charge.

Importantly, iFly software interaction with TCAS, IVAO/VATSIM and the iFly Advanced Autobrake system are dependent on FSUIPC. Without FSUIPC for the 64-bit environment, we will need to find an alternate means to provide those functions, or some of that capability may be lost.
