July 10, 20178 yr Quote ok here is the deal i correct the simphoto in photoshop with the same canon gx7 with 8mm and f2.8 here the results The viewpoint in your sim is much higher, therefore the windows (as they are slanted) seem to have less height. You can see that very obvisiously when you look at the EFIS, where the rotary knobs are more upwards (you can't read the font in opposite to the real picture). July 10, 20178 yr You guys are so impressive with your knowledge of the NGX flight deck. I really am impressed. It must be awful for you that you can't just fly without the constant nagging in your brain that this measurement is 2cm off from the real thing or that angle is 2 degrees out. I'm a simple soul really, I just enjoy the flying. I am so lucky that nit picking at unimportant details doesn't intrude into my daily life like that. You have my sympathy. Blackrat

I'm bewildered at some minor details people harp on and persist with. I'm just looking forward to the ngx on P3Dv4. July 10, 20178 yr Commercial Member Knock it off. The geometry is incorrect. We've noted that this is the case for quite some time. The reason is to get the HUGS fully collimated. Badgering each other about it is entirely pointless. Kyle Rodgers

Just give us V4 today please and everyone here will give you a BEAR HUG. Where is Robert? He gets a HUG too. Follow me on : Instagram See my Trailer: A Year Of Flight
July 10, 20178 yr I personally never really noticed any geometry issues until I read this thread in its entirety. And I totally understand the reasoning. It will not affect my enjoyment of the aircraft. What does bother me personally is the overly negative remarks that are rampant throughout the PMDG (and AVSIM over all) forums. And they are usually from the same one or two people. Are the forums not the place to come and have conversations about the products? The fact that this happens so often has really limited the time I spend here. Which is unfortunate as the Avsim forums have been a staple to flight simulation for a very long time now. Some people just need to learn how to communicate like adult human beings. Matt Bernard20+ Years Commercial/GA A&P/PLST
July 10, 20178 yr What makes me chuckle is the the fact that most people on here complaining about the 737 cockpit geometry aren't RW 737 pilots...How would they know what's right or wrong? By looking at a picture (where perspective can change the way things look greatly)? Youtube videos? The Delta captain on their flight home from Disney world let them look in before takeoff once? Cheers, Chris Brand

But apparently, they were right, as PMDG has also acknowledged the fact that the geometry is wrong. Nono I understand that it is incorrect and that has been acknowledged, what I mean is that if PMDG didn't say anything, they wouldn't know. PMDG said years ago that it was deliberately done that way for the HUGS. Had they never ever said that and maintained silence to this day, it would all be based on conjecture (like the 747 wing flex, look at the fuss that caused). In reality, the only people who would actually notice a difference (had PMDG not said anything) would be RW 737 drivers, everyone else would be basing it off incomplete information. Once PMDG acknowledged it, everyone started looking for it, started comparing photos, and started complaining. Cheers, Chris Brand

It was asked a long time ago by a real world pilot (yes, they use the sim and PMDG products too). After this, everyone obviously "knew" this. Philipp Schwaegerl

July 11, 20178 yr It's a joke. Come on, why can't we just get over this nonsense about geometry. Does it change how you handle the sim? No. Does it cause any behavioural issues for the aircraft? No. Does it look bad? No. In fact I a, pretty sure most of those complaining would not even notice it themselves without first reading about it somewhere. This gets really, really annoying now. We've heard your opinions, fine. But it's time to get over it, dear nitpicking specialists... kityatyi I7 6700K 4.6 GHz, MSI Geforce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 2666 MHz RAM, 750GB SSD, 1TB HDD
