PMDG FSExpo Announcement

I'm still waiting for Rob, Kyle, or Ryan to come in and drop the word "yes" to indicate that someone in the thread has guessed right and watch everyone go nuts.

No need for a demonstration of FS elitism.

That wasn‘t my intention. I read too often „boeing is boeing, it‘s all the same, know one, know all.“ while in fact it is not. Many people jump in the airplane, load a route, click on LNAV and then complain about the high price for one airplane. What often enough gets lost is that these addons are not meant to be used as a short evening trip. While it‘s no problem to do it like this they are actually meant to be understood. That‘s why there are complete and licensed FCOMs and QRHs added. And why PMDG are so pedantic about correct development (and wording in the forum). And this is exactly why they aren‘t boring in any case, even if there comes a 767-400 that looks almost like a 777 inside or a 752/3 and a 762/3. We have the opportunity to do the technical side of a type rating here.. offered for nothing more than the decision to buy or not to buy. So no. Absolutely nothing boring about 20 boeings by PMDG. There are plenty developers that sell their addons for 50$ and don‘t go that deep into the systems but offer the same short evening flight. But we have very few developers that take it really serious and have specialized their knowledge.

,

There’s no need to beat people down for expressing an opinion. PMDG have shown in the past they can make high quality sims of other aircraft than Boeings.

If you’ve got the data you can simulate anything. Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, etc. Specialising isn’t necessary to making a good simulator.

I'm not seeing how people are getting overly pointed on either side, but...

We know that it's a "new product line" and "something we wouldn't expect from PMDG", well.....

Sadly the 787 would not meet either constraint. Another Boeing so not a new product line and we totally expect it from PMDG one day.

The A380 would meet both constraints being a Scarebus as a new product line and somewhat unexpected from PMDG. It also fits the HUGE/YUGE comment and the 10 year development with no hints since something like that may never have reached roll-out so you wouldn't tease it until pretty certain.

Ergo it's an A380, it fits all the teases (and rumours).

Full respect to Bill - I’m loving that meticulous logic. And I’d be delighted with a PMDG A380. Would rather the 787, but hey-ho. What I really want is a PMDG 747 Classic (the -200, specifically) but that’s a fairly remote possibility.

A "new product line" might not even be an aircraft add-on. Maybe PMDG is building their own sim platform....

I think there will be a new sim. 10 years is a lot time...

A new sim is my guess as well. Not a full blown sim but something Sublogic ATP style where you choose to fly your already purchased PMDG a/c on pre built career mode routes.

In that gif, if you bring those 2 white dots together and flip it 90 degrees, it will form an 8. So 787 confirmed!

Btw, having recently climbed over one in a hangar I'd rather have a 787 but this aint it. I'd never use an A380, fun to try but rarely to fly.

I could come around to this thinking. I'd prefer a 787 too but let's see.

Im praying that it would be the PMDG 767..... Oh My GOD PleasE!!!!! :ampun:

Please don’t come into the forums like this, there are more docile ways to put this. I know it’s a passionate subject for many but that doesn’t mean you have to be rude and/or abrasive about it.

Per PMDG forum policy, full names on your posts please, first and last.

Begun the flame-war has...
