January 25, 20197 yr Anybody using TropicalSim's KMCI Kansas City airport scenery...?? It's on sale right now at Simmarket for 13 Euro and I just wondered if it's any good.... https://secure.simmarket.com/tropicalsim-kansas-city-intl-2018-kmci-fsx-p3d.phtml Scott
January 25, 20197 yr I have and use it. I prefer it over ImagineSim's version, which I also have. In additon, just FYI, the Orbx world airports collection (freeware) includes a nice version as well of KMKC, the Kansas City Wheeler Downtown airport. January 25, 20197 yr Does it install easily into 4.4? Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
January 25, 20197 yr I have it works fine looks decent. They upgraded it to Prepar3d v4 so I just used the installer.
January 25, 20197 yr Yup I have it, all good in 4.4 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
January 25, 20197 yr I'd give it a 7 on a scale of 10...it's good but not great. The SODE jetway models they use have some animation issues (the axle bar on the wheels detaches from the support struts and sort of freewheels in space when it turns). But, I'd say it's worth 13 eurogazinks. January 25, 20197 yr I'd say it's definitely worth 13 Euro. The 2018 version is only a few months old and is P3Dv4 native. I had bought the 2015 version just a few months prior and had to pay 9 Euro to upgrade lol. As for the jetways, if you use GSX Level 2 someone made a nice jetway mod that you can get on the FSDT forums. January 25, 20197 yr If it wasn't on sale back in December I'd probably never pay a full price for it. Way below today's standards, which for me are really high at the moment, buying and flying in to it was a deciding factor for me to not buy anymore ported over sceneries. For that price I felt it was just fine. The underlying photo is low res, but the ground poly's themselves seem to be higher res / ok. I only have GSX (1) installed and the jetways aren't animating for me in my limited testing. I have GSX level 2 but haven't installed it yet. If you bring up the GSX (1 or 2) menu, the "operate jetways" should trigger the SODE jetways included in the scenery. Of course that won't work if you don't have SODE installed. Regards Well, then I must not have SODE installed. But I think I do -- I have a bunch of add-on sceneries like FSDT KMEM, and I think at least one of them installed SODE for me (right?). I’ve got the 2015 version and thought it was ok, but agreed on the standards of today. We are seeing incredible quality on scenery and planes these days. Orman
