Wow!. The Prepar3D world changes quickly. Getting difficult to keep up. Time to enjoy!

I hear ya, Ed. But thank God it's still developing, right?

Compared to the general depression that set in when Microsoft announced the discontinued development of FSX and the closure of ACES 10 years ago, I'd take our current situation any day.

Having read that article, I like the idea of improved load times.

While beta testing of v4.5 is just around the corner, according to the article a public release is apparently not coming "anytime soon", whatever that means.

That suits me just fine, i'm quite content with v4.4 for the present time, and v4.5 will (hopefully) be worth the wait.

I haven't even upgraded from 4.3 to 4.4 yet, so LM just take your time. 🙂

Still on 3.4 which works perfectly, and I fly almost every day.

The only way I can consider V5 is if all my add-ons are compatible. Sure can't afford another cycle of repurchasing! If so the major fix I hope for is realistic ground friction so all aircraft taxi realistically. The old FSX wheel friction code still used in P3DV4 is terrible.

This is about v4.5, not v5.0...another (no-cost) point upgrade.

My airliners seem to taxi just fine in P3D v4.3.

Don't you think some of the older models like the NGX take a little too much trust to start rolling and in my experience require periodic increases above idel to maintain a constant taxi speed? From what I read from the real world guys idel trust is plenty to keep a jet rolling. I believe some of the recent releases like QOTS3 and Leonardo have there own taxi code apart from the sim and those are much improved.
