August 4, 20196 yr Author Hold up..this looks more like it..? https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/accesscard There are no application, monthly or annual fees, and no fees for transactions online or in-store. We'll only charge you for: UK cash withdrawals (£2 per withdrawal) Overseas cash withdrawals (£3 + 2.75% per withdrawal) Overseas purchases (2.75% foreign exchange fee) A replacement or second card on your account (£4.95) apart from the foreign exchange rate... 55 Australian dollars + 2.75% = 56.5125 Australian dollars man, all this hassle for an add on.... August 4, 20196 yr Fair play to you for having access to accesscard. And it sounds like the best option for what you want. @ all others who keep on suggesting that as the go-to solution: the service is, for example, not available to me here in Ireland, nor was it (or is) an option in Germany. But I guess we (along with most other European countries) just don't count, do we? 😉 Cheers Mallard

August 4, 20196 yr Moderator Many providers never store your credit card details and payments are handled by a third-party provider. Easiest thing to do if you're worried about using a CC online is to get a pre-paid visa card, this is almost certainly the safest solution.
August 4, 20196 yr I have a prepaid Visa card and you have to get it registered but have found no store on the internet will accept it including Amazon. I carry only my bank's debit card and at most two actual credit cards at any given time. All of the other cards remain locked in my safe, and are only used for specific purposes, such as Barclay's 0% interest on major purchases for 12 months. Fr. It is the credit card company that will take responsibility, and protect your money. My credit card details have been used three times in the past (including someone who was trying to pay for multiple £1000+ holidays one after the other). My credit card company quickly determined that something was amiss, credited me for the one that got through, and stopped the others. Yes, I had to wait for a new credit card to arrive, but that's a small price to pay for the excellent security that credit card companies provide. In short, there is really little to be worried about providing your credit card details online to a reputable company (and ORBx is a reputable company). August 5, 20196 yr Just go with it. Orbx aren’t going to utilise a fraudulent payment system, neither are Orbx fraudulent. Even if something does go wrong, call your credit card provider and they can look into it! William Sandford Check out SwitchNowUnicom on Twitch! August 5, 20196 yr I guess it's bust then. Why are folks so in love with PayPal? There are other alternatives that don't track your purchases and then sell that information to advertisers. I guess that people don't like the idea of their credit card information being vulnerable on a gazillion different websites.

But it does keep on popping up BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A CREDIT CARD IN THE FIRST PLACE IF YOU USE PAYPAL! I remain amazed by the fact that it appears to be a concept that just cannot enter some heads, how one can live without one... But large parts of the world do exactly that! Cheers Mallard

Last time I wrote a check was in 2012, last time I paid with cash was 5 or 6 months ago...I had to use PP once, was not overly impressed.
