If we all just sat here saying it's 100% amazing, then it's not going to help shape a better product. If enough people agree on how certain aspects could be tweaked then I'm sure MS will focus on them. I'm absurdly positive at this point. I'm overwhelmed with how much they are pulling off.

The video just came out and we already have to point out everything negative and/or “concerns”?

Sorry I didn't realise there was a time limit before we can give constructive feedback. How long have you decided this time limit should be? http://www.phoenixva.org PVA1103 Robert Stevens

In reality there would be a decent amount of them on in big cities (would expect half of them at least). Doesn't matter how well it is shown, but they need to be on! That's my point though, i see plenty of lit up windows in the skyscrapers, even if they're dim. I don't think those yellow rectangles are reflections. But it's true i don't see lit up windows in the smaller buildings. Edited October 24, 20196 yr by nikita

Interesting, guess that could be a very simple adjustment. http://www.phoenixva.org PVA1103 Robert Stevens

October 24, 20196 yr Commercial Member The night lighting and the weather engine itself is simply amazing. October 24, 20196 yr It really is stunning in my opinion. I like the way they listened and opened a YouTube channel to post the videos and also the used the Christmas Theme poem thingy from a user post here. I tell you their writing staff is amazing, even if they do miss an English spelling once in awhile, they will fix it! If I had to speak French or write in French, it would be really, really, bad. I'm just saying 🙂 ‘TWAS THE DAY OF TECH ALPHA AND ALL THROUGH LAST NIGHT, NOT ALL EMAILS FINISHED SENDING YET, SO EVERYONE HOLD TIGHT. October 24, 20196 yr There are no lit up windows in photogrammetry cities. I don’t think they’ve solved that problem yet. Maybe this is an opportunity for REX and HiFi Simulations now that their businesses have been effectively destroyed with this video.

My only small bug bear is, this night photo: The Sky Scrappers on the left appear to be suffering from a power cut? Should be lit up like christmas trees in reality! Hope this is just a pre-alpha thing. See below for comparison sake. Nah, those buildings in the pic really aren't that bright (they are bright due to the camera exposure) and hope they are not like that in the sim. We already have the "glowing" buildings in P3D that have been around since the early FS days. Many building lights actually appear pretty dim when you overfly a city...the overall street lighting, etc stands out more than somebody's office light that was left on.
