That's like the GA guys who still fly with VORs and NDBs, and don't have a GPS in the airplane. To be perfectly frank, if what i stated bears fruit, have fun with your 15 dollar MS approved joystick. You really think those of us with close to 10k in hardware are going to throw it all in a closet if incompatible? Get real. Eric

Once released, people will start complaining there (insert what they are using with P3D here) is no longer compatible with MS2020. Edited November 16, 20196 yr by B777ER Eric

If MS only servers then this is a no-go for me. 2. I have (and many others as well) thousands of dollars of hardware run through fsuipc. Will fsuipc work with this platform? If not, another showstopper. 3. Various other programs such as simserver for RemoteCDU, simacars, TrackIR, etc... Will any of that work.... People are seeing the scenery and not thinking of much else. There are many things that, for me, need to happen for this to replace P3D. Ya, it looks nice but not at the cost of losing the ability to forgo all above stuff. Eric, not much will or desire in these forums to accurately emulate what goes on in a real airplane cockpit. You will be accused of being a dinosaur, your experience will be denigrated and potentially worse. Those of us continuing to seek the most accurate simulation of real world flying will likely find more community in the cockpit builders groups on FB. Good luck and know that you are not alone, just a member of a quieter and, perhaps, more focused community. My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.

Motion sickness is (I believe) mostly caused by the inner eye not receiving the same motion info as the eyes. A bit like looking down to read a book while in a car. Your balance is telling you that you're moving while your eyes are telling you you're not. I'm not sure how VR without motion will ever cure that problem without a prescription. As for the topic in hand... it is up to the add-on developers (whether hardware or software) to keep their products up to date. Microsoft just has to provide a decent API for them to do so. In no way shape or form should Microsoft need to spend any time making things backward compatible if it creates any compromises on the ability to improve new stuff. Thats really true, i have not doubt they are gonna provide a good API with the team and investment they have. When it comes to VR, the experience varies a lot depending on the person i guess, in my case i got a lot motion sickness when there was input delay so the lower the fps the worst it got. November 16, 20196 yr I am not surprised but remain astounded - someone voices an opinion which goes against the group think and gets attacked. Honestly kiddies, it a just a computer game. A few of you need to take a reality check. David Porrett

If people need to "take a reality check" rather than be able to express differing options then what is the point of being here? Where is the attack?
