I tried to warn users about needing online access for a shader tweaker. Now you see why I was complaining? This dev doesn't pay his bills and then relies on the community to bail him out. He needs to make PTA freeware and get out of the business.

So, when new P3D update comes out there will no PTA, right?

"(if you follow my Twitch channel you’ll know what’s been going on in my personal life)"

Following will not show any of Matts stream as it says you have to Sub (pay to watch), so it's a bit hard to "follow" him on twitch now.

The last time i watched I enjoyed him doing his PPL but cannot watch anything now as am not paying.

-----

Reading that statement seems the bottom line seems to say, until the bill's are paid nothing is happening, or should that read until people give him enough money nothing is going to happen?

Who knows? I hope it's all sorted out for everyone sake.

I've learned not to count on anything associated with PTA.  I long ago wrote off the money I paid for it and have moved on to more reliable and professional vendors.

I moved to TomatoShade already some time ago. And it's free.

I've purchased Envshade via Simmarket. Can I just install? Is it compatible with PTA?

Make sure you revert back to the saved original shaders first using PTA.  And no, it's not compatible--it modifies the same shader files that PTA does, so you do *not* want to use both together.

So just put the original shaders back to P3D root folder and than install Envshade?

That should work, too, assuming you saved them before any mods were made by PTA.  PTA normally saves the original shaders out when it's first installed, so you can recover them that way.

I just switched from PTA to ENVShade. Way better IMO. That clown Matt is an utter disgrace to the community. No way I would ever give him money. He has a video on YouTube of him taking PPL lessons 4 months ago. That's not cheap to do but yet here he is asking for money to pay server costs. That will be a no from me.

Did he really say that? If I paid for PTA then it was a business transaction, nothing more. To me, he is a business entity and I couldn't care less about his personal issues. The fact is that he is running a business like a little b.... and is just trying to make excuses at every turn. And if things take a turn to the worse then why won't he come out with it before the services are shut down. Always reverting to lies and begging after the fact.

But what do I care, I don't affiliate myself with individuals and businesses like that. It's just sad that some continue to support someone like that. Maybe I should send out my paypal number as well?

Guess I shouldn’t ask about PTA v3 ha.

How easy is it to transition to TomatoShade?  Heard it’s pretty taxing on resources.

(all in all, hoping to find a solution I can tune on the fly without restarting P3D every single time....like the old Reshade and SweetFX days; and was the one feature I was excited for most in PTA v3)
