Going back to the subject, I finally bought it, and my first impression is very good. The rain sounds are very nice and real as they simulate quite well the noise effect when the rain hits the ground and the aircraft. Had no time yet to test other sounds like wind and thunders.

As for the birds,

In typical Avsim fashion, folks are going to get hung up on the birds. There will be a war over whether or not you can hear birds in the cockpit or not.

I would ask who stands outside their aircraft listing to birds, but after reading another topic some enjoy taxi lines being draw all over the place. Each to their own as they say.

But hopefully might get better feedback from buyers than that terrible demo.

Hey, hey....lay off of those taxi lines LOLOLOLOL....yeah...said from the Taxi Line Guy...LOL!

Thank you all for the reviews.

Are the birds species correct for each airport? I mean total accuracy is required.🤣

So I bought it.

First: many sounds. All environmental.. No AI engines. But wind, water, waves, birds, storm, thunder, etc. At this moment no airport related sounds like trucks, planes, etc.

In my opinion is hearing a part of these sounds in my cockpit A320 or A330 tested, more killing the immersion as enhancing it.

Yes there is a way to turn down the volume for each type of sound. But I left the sliders middle and hearing birds inside a cockpit while my doors and windows are closed AND engines are running is not realistic in a tubeliner.

I had to turn the volume of birds so much down that I can't even hear them outside anymore.

Unrealistic behaviour.

The sounds itself are very nice.

I rate the product 2 from 5 stars because it should enhance the immersion of a Flightsimulator and does that apparently not. It's even worse, it kills it.

They definite have to work on a solution that in a closed cockpit only realistic sounds are heard like in real live.

As I am interested in flying and not walking outside.

Rainsounds are enhanced and seem good to me.

Regards

Marcus

I guess that it would easy for them to produce a sound deadening 'filter' when point of view, is within the cockpit, except for open cockpits...as you would hear environmental sound around you.....especially wind flow! If that could be done...this would be an enhancement to being near the sea...etc, and if they overcome what you make note about...this would be a sale...

What I think is kinda funny is how much discussion over an add on that costs as little as a lunch at McDonald's.  I'm gonna pick it up as a show of support for a classy developer (whether it enhances or not).  (TOGA Projects) has always provided excellent and prompt support when needed.

Well, I guess they are, but I confess I've only seen canaries at the Canary Islands 🤣

They should have included airport environment sounds instead of making animal sounds in specific locations throughout the world.

For example, the default airport vehicle sounds are pretty bad.

I have ENVTEX and ENVSHADE and love them.  I won't be buying this.

I'll get this one for my new magnificent A2A Cub!
Back to VFR flying in ORBX Alsaka!! 😀

I'll switch it off with the liners, no problem.
I also support our devs, MSFS is still far and pricing is correct for this kind of "ear-candy".

This is the initial release folks. There are, literally, hundreds of different sounds that "could" be included. TOGA has already said that more will be coming.

Patience........  🙂

Since i only fly Tubeliners, i have a question.

Speaking of the birds, when you have a bird strike, can you hear them crunching and grinding as they go through your engine? 😜

Like when PMDG first put bug splats on the QOTSII wind screen and flame war started over how a real bug splats and what it should look like.😂

I can definitely hear birds chirping away in the cockpit. More noticeable in smaller, quieter GA planes. But still noticeable in larger planes. The maddog is a quieter cockpit and I can hear them a little too well in it. It should definitely be toned down some. Also the frequency, the airports sound like an aviary.

Can someone check what kind of sounds he gets at ORBX's PAVD ramp 12?
I hear no sounds at all.
Thanks!

Edit:
Actually, something is wrong, I get zero sound no matter where.
I have applied the settings (default), Envsound is activated + added to the addon list.
What else should I do?
