Those are the official ones.  I'll add a couple from personal experience:

Oops, I missed one at the end:

You remember being Santa.
You don't remember being Santa.
You believe in Santa.

I understand how you feel . I’m not worried about this folks at all people do with their sim as they please . I fly drones for fun and money 107 certified and trust me I see videos on YouTube of people not Licensed doing things that can kill the drone world and I just simply stop the videos I can let that stop me from doing HAVING FUN and doing things right.....

Let People do their thing their way ....

Should the title be changed to "making a big fuss of something I don't understand"..?

I admit. I’ve watch a few streams on Twitch looking through my fingers scared to see what horrific offense to aviation was going to be committed next 😂

I finally had to just walk away, when one guy was talking about theses rocks on the side of some random hill where he once took a picture, and it just looked all wrong in the sim! They were steep and treacherous in real life and in the sim they were just rocky pictures smeared on the side of the hill.

....What???  I mean know there are some crazy high expectations from simmers for this release but this guy didn’t appear to be an experienced simmer or pilot, and well, I mean, uhhh, what do you even say to that?

On the flip side the chat from a bunch of other streams were filled with people who couldn’t wait for it to be released on Xbox. There are a couple of ways to look at that. On one side it means it could be a big commercial success and strengthen future development....but that development could lean toward a more casual experience. Hopefully the team will continue to balance accessibility with deeper simulation elements.

In my country we have a name for airline pilots with the same attitude - they're called Skygods

I have actually enjoyed watching most of these videos. They compelled me to upgrade my PC. I am not a pilot so I can’t judge people’s flying procedures. We can’t forget this is just a game. I stopped uploading videos long ago because the “purists” never failed to correct my flying. Sorry, but I have not been to flight school - what do you expect?

Absolutely nothing but for you to have fun! Tune out the critics. Most of them are armchair aviators with a Napoleon complex. 99% of real pilots are decent human beings who love to teach and share aviation. The other 1% get lumped in the the armchair critics and can be ignored.

Yay! Another thread where someone posts about how others fly on youtube, like it really matters!🍿

OS:     Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU:  MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB]
SSD:  Corsair Force MP510 (for OS);  2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)
HDD:  Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet

Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

I clearly understand the sentiment here. We have all seen videos ranging from the ultra serious to the “whatever”. The wide range of participants and attitudes is to be expected as a result of the extensive publicity and hype for the past year around FS2020. Thankfully, there are settings in the sim to dial in and out who we interact with privately and publicly. We’ll soon settle into our selected niches within the 2020 environment and fly the way we desire that brings individual and group enjoyment to flight simulation.

Why the animosity for people who use simulators for... simulation?

I have animosity for almost no one, certainly no one here.  I do revel in the discomfort of those who try to keep the sandbox only to themselves, which applies to only a vocal few of serious simmers.  Those who fly and let fly, to paraphrase an old cliche are fine with me.  Also in my quote, “gamer kiddies” is a perjorative as well, and nobody here tried to correct me on that one...

Here's what you have to remember. Do you want a new sim? Then you need new users to finance said sim. Otherwise you end up with XP11, which is a pet project with basic features features still missing five years after release. Great sim, but extremely limited in many ways.

I welcome our new "gamer" overlords because that's what's going to keep the development of our sim going for a decade. And it's not like multi-player in FSX was serious. Airforceproud95's videos are more than enough evidence of that. I'm almost certain Vatsim servers will be different than general multi-player.

Personally, I'm having a lot of fun watching people rediscover flight sims for the first time since probably playing Microsoft Flight Simulator as a kid.

I watched a guy on Twitch called Burke fumbling through the air with full flaps and landing gear out, while the ATC repeatedly asked him if he copied their last message.  It was hilarious, and he was having a good time trying to figure everything out.

You're watching your hobby suddenly get a lot bigger in real time, and that's going to involve a lot of people trying to keep an airliner level while it says OVERSPEED OVERSPEED OVERSPEED for 20 straight minutes, lol.  I find this exciting and fun, not annoying.

Yes, and they will easily outnumber the serious flight simmers. Airforceproud95, something like 1.3M subscribers. Stumbled upon his latest FS2020 video and more of the same content with significant appeal!
