August 20, 20205 yr I will wait a while until good aircraft become available for MSFS 2020. I especialily miss a good autopilot and navigation equipment. Graphically it is very nice with Ultra settings, I have great FPS and no more stutters. August 20, 20205 yr I have to admit. This sim has a deep learning curve and there have been many frustrations getting thru the download and installation. I have always been about enjoying high quality payware aircraft from excellent flight modeling and new Garmin/Proline avionics ! Even though these are not yet available to purchase or fly, just spending time in default aircraft while looking at this BEAUTIFUL WORLD (environment, land, water, weather, buildings, etc) is truly an AWESOME experience ! After taking a short "flight" around my home town and seeing commercial malls and stores that exactly duplicated the exterior I see on the ground, I have also removed P3D v 4 and v5. I could never return no matter what. The clincher was flying over my local "WhataBurger" and seeing their big beautiful orange and white stripes covering the roof. ! 😁😍😂 Quote
August 20, 20205 yr Not there yet for me to uninstall XP (several issues, airliners), but I am pretty certain that I won't need it within a year. At the moment I don't feel like playing anything else, but that's quite normal when you have a new toy. XP12 will have to provide something truly innovative to make me even consider it. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
August 20, 20205 yr Me too. Also MSFS 2020 has turned me into a GA flyer. Edited August 20, 20205 yr by Taver Tim Curtis MSFS2020, i7-9900k 5.0Ghz, 32GB Ram, Nvidia 3080, 48" LG OLED CX
August 20, 20205 yr Author Whether we have realised it or not, the beauty of this sim is that is combines the best aspects of every other sim we have ever had in the past 20 years. That is one thing we never thought we would ever get. ( I didn’t). That was a pipe dream The flight dynamics of XP, but better. The awesome scenery of Aerofly2 - but on a global scale. Many of the best third party inclusions of P3D - but as default, and superior in every way. ive been a pure tubeliner guy for years. This has made me love GA all over again. It is a hugely immersive experience with not one extra cent having to be spent - probably for a while yet. I can’t wait to see what third parties do with the new tech

August 20, 20205 yr Congratulations! I feel the same way. After flying around in the new sim, I simply can't go back to P3D or X-Plane anymore. The visuals really look dated. MFS has spoiled me in the aesthetics department alone. I'm truly in love with it and ready to move on! August 20, 20205 yr Same here! And with no regrets. I don't see myself ever going back. I flew tubeliners virtually exclusively, from pay ware airport to pay ware airport, because the world up close was just not pleasant nor realistic to look at, even with all the global, and regional, and land class, and cityscape, and tree and fauna addons! If I left from a Flightbeam airport and flew to a Fly Tampa airport at 30,000 feet it was enjoyable. But now I am enjoying literally the whole world. I have gone back to GA flying, reviewing the basics. Even doing pattern work now is enjoyable! I am thinking about a 100 leg trip around the world over the autumn and early winter until PMDG can get their birds in the new sim. But there is just so much to enjoy that I can wait for that. It is like starting all over again, looking forward to the release of new sceneries and aircraft -- and waiting is pleasurable! MSFS 2024. August 20, 20205 yr When I built my new PC a few weeks ago I didn't even bother to install P3D nor FSX on it. I just had a hunch I wouldn't be using them, and I was correct! MFS from here on out, all the way.
