CNN calls out a lot ...

Whenever you know a lot about a topic and then see news reporting about it, you realize how much nonsense it actually contains.

Happy with MSFS 🙂

I love that there's lightning in the black hole...almost seems intentional 😆

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Given CNN's history, I'm surprised they didn't report that Microsoft proved that a wormhole to the core of the earth exists, and that scientists are rushing to the scene to exploit the new opportunity for exploration.

You have a lot of faith in us, Charlie. 😂

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

This isn't a call out.. It's a random throw away blurb about an anomaly they find quirky and funny..  Good lord...  It's in their travel section FFS..

Just because it's on CNN doesn't mean we need a CNN-style clickbait subject line here, eh?   😄

Exactly.. But "Don't get politics involved"

The hypocrisy here is off the charts, especially the admin who couldn't help themselves jumping on the bandwagon..

Why did I even think AVSIM actually changed and donate to them? I'm out of here again...  It's still the same place in new clothing..

I still don't know why is it big deal about the wormhole? In fact, you should go there and fly into it and picture yourself that you are Matthew McConaughey 😎

The CNN article was kind of funny to be honest.  Certainly a bit of a funny piece being in the travel section.  I haven't checked out the 'black hole' yet.

I'm excited to see what the new digital elevation model in the upcoming US world update looks like.  There are a lot of scientists and engineers who have spent their careers building instruments to map the planet.  This is an area where I'm confident we will see improvements over whatever the initial dataset was sourced from.

So criticizing CNN is political?

I was thinking, for example, about a CNN banner that said "Breaking News: Boeing 777 will struggle to maintain altitude when it runs out of fuel"

There are plenty of examples of CNN's rush to fill bandwidth with poorly-vetted stupidity that have nothing whatsoever to do with politics.

Love how one mod says no politics, and then another one immediately jumps in with politics.  Rofl

A couple of really odd positions and decisions were taken today. We were basically told to leave the trolls alone.
