LM don`t pander to me and why should they if i never use it they will not stop developing P3D, unlike other sims without the user they will die from lack of investment, that`s why so much investment is now going into instant start and play gaming with the cloud, that may not interest flight simmers but we are not the main market they are targeting. I said ”That’s not a “fact”. My v5 install us solid as a rock. All sims can crash with a dud addon. But I haven’t had a crash in many months.” You said: ”I doubt that.” You’re Swiss, it seems. Maybe it’s a language nuance thing. But you now say you were doubting that i have many addons, which makes no sense as I wasn’t talking about number of addons. If that’s really what you were doubting, you’d also be absolutely wrong as I have over 20 TB of P3D scenery on my sim rig, and own hundreds of other payware products. I do, however, choose my active addons carefully and currently stick to planes and utilities that i’m confident are either SDK compliant or well-known to run without problems in the sim. October 17, 20205 yr Author Interesting reading...I must say! However, as the OP, I was just hoping that someone (behind the scenes) knew of some interesting and revealing news about the next V5 update. I don't have any crash problems, and I am confident of my install. V5 for me just becomes unstable during a long flight. That's all. Stan

Well, since migrating to V5 in April (60 flights since then) I had also 2 CTD. In sum, nothing to complain massively. Just enjoying life and P3D 🙂 Ruediger your not the only one. heres a topic with 13 pages on it and 187 posts. Nice to see LM developers come and help out. Nope, they just let the Jorgen guy tell you to reinstall the c++ files, same as how Poppet just used to cut and paste telling you to delete your prepar3d.cfg or delete your shaders. Vitali from GSX will blame LM, but then as the miltary dont use GSX or the "atc window" LM will ignore it and just get Jorgen to do their leg work. Same as the GSX issue years ago with the dodgy bgls with corrupt data that used to CTD the sim over Northen Canada in the "dangerzone" as we used to call it, and over Russia and Scandivia. It took 2 years to work that out, with zero help from LM, its was only eagle eyed simmers on here that said to restart coutl if you where planning to fly over the "dangerzone" which enabled vitlai to change the coding to sort the issue. There was a topic with maps and routes run over and run again to find the offending area of North East Canada. The underlying issue though was corrupt data in the BGLS, which LM never bothered to help Vitali with. Same old story, they dont care simmers, only their military contracts. To that end, 5.1 cant come quick enough. Edited October 20, 20205 yr by fluffyflops
October 20, 20205 yr 5.1 is immiment - as PMDG is working to release their bbj (they gave a hint about 5.1). I just HATE the fact that there few addons that I have to waste my time uninstalling and installing as they never follow external method. But 90% of all my addons are in prepar3d addon folder - just drag them out and drag them in when the new sim is installed. Save time For once I am like meh with the release. Just not excited at all. He's just saying he hopes 5.1 fixes the awful PBR in V5.
