Is this current scenery, or the NA update, do we know?  It's bloody impressive, whatever, and if it's in the sim now, I need to go fly these places.

So the constant thunder and lighting in mostly clear skies without an actual Thunderstorm in sight that was introduced on the last patch (using Live WX) is 'under investigation' and backlogged......????   Not sure how something like this is not at the top of the fix list. We are now relying on "votes" to determine what gets fixed??

If it's under investigation, it's probably not a simple fix, or at least not something that's easy to find the cause or fix. If it was as easy as flicking a light switch, I'm sure they'd do it right away.

Hope that removing Press Any Key will actually speed things up. Not sure if that's been promised.

No it will not. Sebastian said so when he talked about this in the last Q&A.

Well, Update 5 coming in next week, but not too much to say, except for the dreaded "Press Any Key to Continue" that seems to bother to many gamers.

That isn't the fix list, it's the fix request list.  What they fix first is probably more dependent on reality than desire.  i.e. if a highly requested fix is easy, it'll probably get done,  if it isn't, or if it has to wait on another item to be fixed first, then it won't.  Also they have mentioned more than once that they are working on other items other than those on the list as well.

As for that issue, should it really be on the top of the list?  It's not correct certainly, but it's a slight visual distraction at worst.  wouldn't we like weather improvements, autopilot glitches resolved, atc and ai fully functional before we take on the overabundant lightning?  I mean, they could just turn lightning off again in the meantime, would that be better?

Didn't watch that one. Oh well, it must be pretty hard-coded into the start up, for want of a better term. But at least it means you can start up the sim and leave the room without coming back and swearing  that you'd forgotten to wait for that screen to come up!🙂

I find their regular reassurances that ‘this is just the beginning’ and ‘we aren’t going anywhere’ reassuringly reassuring.

Honestly, its probably necessary to keep up that constant drumbeat, to counteract the guys in the raincoats with the "Its all a lie, the end is near!!" placards. 😀

Hummm.  It seemed like an easy "break" as it did not exist and then suddenly it did.
