A very poignant point!  If we make the same time comparisons from when we've changed platforms in the past....some of the most diehard P3D fans nowadays would have given up on it long ago if they were new to simming in general.

Point being is the parallels are predictably identical, and the only difference is that the FSX/P3D transition affected maybe XX,XXX amount of simmers, while MSFS is impacting XXX,XXX,XXX at least according to the reported sales.   Same problem, waaaay different scale...which is why I think the forums have blown up like they have with this release more so than in previous releases. 😉

Can you unpack this a little please or point to a link with the issues? I have read that there are issues with updating with dev mode on, but I haven't found any definitive instructions of when it is ok to have dev mode on and when it isn't ok. Not saying that these details don't exist, but I haven't come across them yet.

I did not get any issues , as well. But I read some post talking about CTDwith the dev mode.

Yes, max737Ifly produces some of the best videos possible, especially for the commercial jets! Another phenomenal addition to his top rated YouTube channel irrespective of the simulator platform. Many special editing effects go into his videos and I can certainly appreciate the countless hours involved. Altering the saturation values and color tables is pure candy for the eyes at dawn or dusk. I am presently working on a promo video for a soon to be released airplane (sorry guys, it is a GA plane) and this video has given me a couple of new ideas.

I would recommend anyone who wants to fly in Norway to get the lake elevation fixes at flightsim dot to. There are three of them.

That is wonderful videography demonstrated.   Quite the showcase for MSFS.   That deserved a subscription.  

Really cool. This is the type of video that is a complete motivation killer for me while at work and makes me want to go home and fire up the sim instantly. Should have waited until the end of the work day to watch this. 😄

You're on the money - couple snippets of the sim interspersed with RL video during the intro, but the actual MSFS footage starts around 1:35...pretty amazing stuff.
