Looks like they fixed the sim, not the Carenado planes, because the planes version number is the same. Guess it was not Carenado's fault after all.

When I go to the store, and try and update I'm getting an error message.

Edit. the download has started working after shutting the store down and trying again.

You might want to empty your community folder and try again

This is very frustrating.

It's been 8 weeks and there was no official word from Microsoft or Asobo that they intended to fix this on the sim side.

As of a day or two ago on the official forum the community managers said they expected to release a marketplace update with the patches from Carenado.

Would it have been too hard to admit they broke it and mark this as a "known issue"???

You probably have a malformed `manifest.json` (or other file, but that's the most likely culprit from what I've seen) in your community folder.   Empty that out and try again.

is this patch fixing anything related to the autopilot? won't have time to test it until the weekend

No.  It's a hotfix for the CTDs in the Carenado and other 3rd party aircraft.

According to the patch notes, no, this just fixes third party plane interaction CTDs.   That's not to say nothing else got an inadvertent tweak, but it'll probably be a little bit before folks can make any credible claims about new or resolved repeatable problems.

Curious to know if you installed the sim just recently.

I happened to re-download the sim a few days prior to Uodate 7 and then when the update day came, the MS store download wasn't needed and in-sim download was patching "to the version I already had".

Sounds similar to what you're seeing now.

the Airbus is flying good. ...I think!  I am using the same old A32NX folder.

I can tell you I didn't have Cheerios this morning...I'm sure that is what triggered the MS patch release! 🤣

And ever since the update, in addition to the Mooney working without CTDs....that joint pain in my left shoulder that was repeatedly flaring (when I was shaking my left fist at the monitor at MS/AS/CA because of this issue) is gone.  Coincidence?  I think NOT! 🙂
