December 18, 20205 yr yes i spend more time in P3D and XP11 , have the 3 sims installed . i use MSFS less now mostly to check out the mods CJ4 FBW A320, then fly GA with Roberts Turbo. P3D i use FSlabs A3XX and the PMDG line only missing my 777 on P3D V5.1, then the AS CRJ X-Plane11 vulcan i use the Toliss 319 321Neo , FF A320 FF757 FF767, Inibuilds A306, Hotstart TBM900 I hope that AS soon release the CRJ for MSFS , FBW A320 team have done a outstanding work but they have a long way to go before they catch up FSL FF Toliss http://
December 18, 20205 yr God forbid why would I go back go to P3D lol. In fact I have deleted it and I am enjoying MSFS and my lovely X-Plane. Last time I tried to fly in P3D, I just couldn't, it really hurt my eyes 👀 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
December 18, 20205 yr Lets see some stock default, MSFS, X-Plane and P3D comparisons. No payware only freeware mods. Get what you paid out the box X-Plane 59$ MSFS 59$ Standard P3D 199$ (don't kid yourself noone is using the 59 Academic version) Edited December 18, 20205 yr by jbdbow1970

And you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars (not including hardware) to get a somewhat realist flight. FBW is gaining ground really fast though in only 4 months. Forgot to mention Working Title CJ4 sorry about that. Edited December 18, 20205 yr by jbdbow1970
December 18, 20205 yr Defo not, what's the point.. its fs2020 now, no going back, no comparison whatsoever, fs2020 is just awesome!! Regards Paul EGCC

Those for whom get the experience and joy of flying through systems modeling immersion like P3D/X-Plane. Those for whom get the experience and joy of flying through environmental immersion like MSFS. Otherwise, your simple formulation is like saying that: VFR in a J3 Cub is not real flying, no? Edited December 18, 20205 yr by Cmcollazo71

December 18, 20205 yr Since I cannot imagine my simming life without the complex commercial airliners, detailed airport sceneries and an ability to modify them with the ADE to reflect real-life (I mean pre-Covid state of affairs), complex detailed AI traffic (also modifiable), historic weather, PPFX and too many other smaller items to mention, I haven't touched MSFS since September. Maybe in 2021/2022, unless LM would bring their own newly reworked terrain engine into P3D. Then, we' will see 🙂 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

I think we generally break down in two main camps...the folks who want to simulate the systems in airliners and tackle the complex cockpits on flights between large commercial airports, and those of us who fly general aviation and like to just “tool” around VFR enjoying the scenery. I’m in the latter group and that’s what I often do in real life as well, so the sim is just a reflection of my real world flying. I’m also instrument rated, so I like to do practice approaches too, but a GPS or ILS approach to a small or regional airport isn’t the same as flying a heavy to JFK. For me, I wish we had A2A aircraft and flight models, but the sim is as good as it gets for VFR.
